Be grateful. MCC is the worst mess in video game history. Don’t even start down that path of misery like so many of us have.

I would get a hold of Xbox Support again and let them know of your situation. They should be able to handle it. Also when you bought your Xbox was it sealed? In a rare situation it’s possible that console was sold beforehand and someone used the code. The mods here can’t fix an issue like this.
Been on 3 calls and chats with them. I bought it once and activated it. Two Xbox’s were repaired by them and I’ve been trying to get the game back on my profile since. Bought the console sealed at Best Buy in 2015. Have receipts and all.
You redeemed the code on your Microsoft account, the same one you’re using right now, right? If so, you can just download it straight from the Xbox store.
They ‘can’t find’ redeemed codes. The whole thing is suspect. I still have the card I used to activate it

- you download mcc on a old console
- you now have a new console and want to download mcc on it
- the original code you used to download mcc is not working on your new console

Yes sir. I have two XBL gamer tags, and XBox support says it wasn’t redeemed under either. I literally have 3 Xbox 1s in my house, I’m not trying to redeem something that doesn’t belong to me or don’t have the funds to go buy a fresh copy. It’s the principle.
At at one point Xbox support said ‘this is a known issue and we will email you when a resolution is found’. I bought the original MCC Xbox under the pretense the game would always be mine.
You are correct that you should not have to repurchase the game. On the old Xbox that you have the game currently download does the Xbox live market place say you have installed/own the game. If it does you should be able to uninstall and reinstall the game at anytime under what ever account say the game is owned (while in the Xbox live market place).
That same account should then be able to download the game on your new xbox via the xbox live market place.
If you go to the Xbox live market place on your old xbox and both accounts say the game is not owned in the xbox live market place, then you do have a much bigger problem that most likely only the xbox live support team could resolve for you.
It’s pinned on all my Xbox’s as something I bought . Old and new - and still directs me to the store to buy it. Just frustrated is all. I’ll go back to support I guess if I can’t get a code here
