When loading into a match, or in a match, alt+tabbing will remove the alt+tab back to halo completely. It wont be in the taskbar, or in the alt+tab screen. It pretty much only remains visible in the task manager, but from there ending the task is the only option I could find.
I think fixing this bug will help players stay in game, as more often than not, at least one leaver per match is the average at the moment. Because right now, I’ve taken so many bans recently just because of this bug and needing to shut the game down prematurely.

This is a known issue.
Two things to try that seems to prevent the issue:
In Windows settings, go to ‘System’; then ‘Multi-tasking’. For Windows 10, under ‘Virtual desktops’, set both items to ‘All desktops’; For Windows 11, select and expand ‘desktops’ and set both items to ‘On all desktops’
In game, go to Settings, then Video and set ‘WINDOW MODE’ to ‘BORDERLESS’
thanks dude! i appreciate the response. im hoping 343 fixes this issue, as im thinking that the leavers in the beginning of matches occur at least partially due to this bug.

I reported this bug months ago, while I dont have an issue hitting alt+tab by accident, there is a button on my mouse that was mapped by default to the alt+tab function that kept causing me this same issue, so I just remapped my mouse button. I am not surprised though that 343 has still not fixed this, I even provided them a video of the issue, so much for my effort I guess.
sorry for the late reply! but the suggestion that lgndrydad gave has fixed the issue that i had so i would go ahead and try those fixes if you havent already - although it shouldnt need to be reduced to those fixes in the first place. good luck dude
