Firefight Feedback
With the player population starting to shift towards Infinity can we get a solo machmaking playlist? I’ve had several times where search takes over 10 minutes to find a 4-man team.
This! Also, maybe just a general matchmaking update, but especially for firefight matchmaking: start the match even if there’s one or two players short of a full playlist. I’m pretty sure this happened in halo reach and it was really nice just to get into a firefight match with one or two other people and have somebody join part way through. I know there could be problems with this, but it would be a nice addition to help the population of certain playlists.
MCC HALO GAME: Halo 3 ODST
FEEDBACK: For Firefight Matchmaking it’d be nice if we could get weekly playlists like regular matchmaking. This could contain ‘weirder variants’ with different weapon spawns and enemies (Sentinel Beams, Elites, etc) When the Flood get added to FF a ‘Flood Firefight’ playlist would be a good idea.
Halo Reach: The announcer still don’t shout perfection at the end of a Reach Slayer game when you achieve one. Two years now…
Split Screen for PC!!! Please!
I feel like you guys will already have compiled a list by now which covers everything I want to be implemented, so, I’ll keep this extremely on topic and specific to celebrating the 20th anniversary(sorry if myself or others have already said these things, not trying to spam):
-
Please return split screen. This is the most worthwhile thing you could patch in, especially when considering the 20th celebration and the significant role split screen has had with the DNA of Halo/Xbox. Like many others I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m hooking up my PC to my TV so it’d be great.
-
I’m really enjoying the 20th cosmetics that are being added, thanks. Some particularly worthwhile ones which would be very welcome are H3 Arbiter armour and the rest of the Halo Online armour especially the Samurai(which would make further sense considering the fracture event in Infinite rn) and that version of EOD which is amazing, added to H3. And beyond that in light of the 20th celebration it would be appropriate for the other titles to get some love which would be icing on the cake. At least finish rolling out all the skins for all titles. Oh and…where’s the ONI UNSC skins?
-
Fixing the issues and cheaters in the metagame/leaderboards and furthermore for the 20th celebration or even just generally, have a community challenge for racking up 20million total score.
-
Really looking forward to Flood Firefight. Hopefully the missing H3 weapons are implemented into ODST along with that.
Keep up the good work!
Since the Orion armor is coming back at the end, any chance we can see other items from the celebration back again as well? Missed out one the SPI mirage armor
Bring back ranked FFA playlist
I would love to see us linux users included in this pretty soon! Luckily for you, EAC supports proton if you just enable it!
A while back, it was posted that 343 was going to look into split-screen on PC, but we haven’t received any updates on its direction. I tried looking to see if it was added to the Known Issues page in Halo Support, but the site doesn’t offer any information regarding the lack of split-screen on PC.
With all the beautiful content that’s been added to MCC, it bothers me that it’s been an incomplete game since day 1 on PC: I keep getting friends who played Halo once, or heard about it years ago but haven’t had an opportunity to play it, and they often ask if we can play it together… To which I have to explain that I have the version that doesn’t support it, despite having everything necessary for split-screen on PC with other games. Following that, I can’t recommend Infinite because I’m not going to want my friends jumping into a game halfway through the franchise.
Please look into this issue or post an update about its development. Split-screen would really benefit MCC’s lifespan without taking away players from Infinite. It even partially resolves the lack of cross-platform play, since Steam allows players to connect to a game of split-screen through streaming, despite being miles away. All it needs is a controller and a device with internet, it doesn’t even need a gaming computer.
In December i started to play the Halo MCC with Halo 1 CE. On my Xbox One S i encountered a random bug on the loading screen on Halo 1 CE. The Game stop loading the Level and after 1 minute the console shut down. I can’t start the xbox one s with the controller. i must start directly on the console.

MCC Halo Game: All Titles
Specific Feedback:
While Season 8 is the last “season” of content for MCC, there is still a massive amount of potential content that could be added to every game on the Collection (as well as some Legacy content that is currently missing from it), especially for those games like Halo 2/2A which have been almost completely ignored during these 8 seasons.

- Adding the Fuel Rod Gun (FRG) to CE Fiesta

- Adding the “Mister Chief” Visor to other helmets with big enough visors like:
- EVA
- ODST
- Grenadier
- Security
- Mark VI
- Mark V
- Etc.
- Could add just the eyes on helmets with thinner/smaller visors
- Adding the “Haunted” helmet option to all helmets within Reach (as I understand it, it’s making the visor of a helmet clear and putting the skull model in for the player’s head, so it could be added to all the Reach helmets, though I don’t know if that’s correct or how hard it would be, I just think it would be cool)
- Adding the more heavily damaged/cracked visor from the mission “Lone Wolf” for all helmets (also adding this more damaged version to all other MCC Halo games)
- Adding the prosthetic arm as an option for the left arm as well as the right and allow to have both arms as prosthetic if one desires
- Adding few remaining absent chest combinations with the prosthetic arm - there are still a few chest armors that can’t be used with the prosthetic arm currently

- Adding all Halo Online Spartan Armors to Halo 4
- Adding playable Elites to Halo 4 MP? (there would be a few appearances for them if this were to happen)
- Adding the “Mister Chief” Visor from Halo Reach to Halo 3’s helmets
- Adding the armor that Master Chief wears in the Halo 4 Campaign (Mark VI mod) to Halo 4’s armor customization (the “Mark VI” we have now is NOT what Chief has on in the campaign, though it should still be kept in the game even if Chief’s actual H4 campaign armor is added)
- Adding weapon/vehicle skins for the remaining weapons/vehicles that currently do not have any (i.e. all power weapons and all vehicles)
- Adding a color selector for our Spartan’s techsuit so that it can be independent of our armor’s primary/secondary colors - i.e. let us make it all black like what we see on Palmer and Spartan IV AI’s armor in campaign and Spartan Ops
- Adding the following Tactical Packages and Support Upgrades that are currently MISSING from Halo 4 on MCC (also making sure they’re usable in MP and Spartan Ops):
- Resistor
- Recharge

- i.e. a ‘Nornfang’ skin for the Sniper Rifles
- i.e. a ‘Prophet’s Bane’ option for the Energy Swords
- i.e. a ‘Beam Rifle Delta’ skin for the Beam Rifles
- i.e. a ‘Tartarus Gavel’ skin for the Gravity Hammers
- Etc.
- Adding all of the remaining achievements from the classic Halo titles that are missing from the MCC
- New Emblems (i.e. the Fireteam Raven insignia, various MCC Season Insignias)
- More Avatars:
- H2A Arbiter
- H2A Johnson
- H2A Miranda Keyes
- H2A Lord Hood
- H2A Enemies (i.e. Enforcer Sentinel)
- All Halo Reach Characters
- Halo Reach Enemies
- Etc.
- Custom Avatars? (i.e. avatars with our multiplayer characters in a pose of our choosing and holding a weapon of our choosing)
- Animated backgrounds from the original release versions of the MCC Halo games (i.e. adding Halo Reach’s menu backgrounds as options for the various MCC menus - also the option to customize the main menu background screen, individual Halo games’ background screens, etc.)
- Live/animated backgrounds (similar to what CABOOSE27x did here for this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/BTsbXGA6Pog)
I fully realize that what I have proposed here is likely more than all of the previous Seasons of MCC combined in terms of the amount of content. I also realize that while some things might be relatively easy to implement, others require something entirely new to be designed, tested, and created, and I understand that these things take time (a lot of time), and so I’m not asking for all these things, I’m simply listing them to demonstrate the Infinite (pun very much intended) amount of content that still’s sitting on the table for all of the MCC titles, especially those which have been as-of-yet neglected (and, as an aside, a lot of this content would work perfectly in Halo Infinite as well). I love MCC, I have since launch day, through all the bugs, issues, patches, etc. and it’s been incredible to watch the comeback it’s made over these past years, especially recently with all the awesome fixes, changes, and additions to some of my favorite games. Thank you 343i, but just because Infinite’s here now, if you can, please don’t forget about the MCC.
Something I forgot to add:
ODST
- Replace the current BR55HB model from Halo 3 with the BR55 Pioneer model from H:O
The main reasons I even suggest this is because the BR55 Pioneer model is essentially the proper Halo 2 Battle Rifle, but with better detailing and a higher quality model like the ODST’s themselves (also helps that the Scarlet Thorn skin being it’s default texture really fits with the ODST aesthetic in general). Considering ODST is set during Halo 2 this also makes more sense in the setting, and is one of the rare few times that it wouldn’t be considered changing something from legacy since the original BR55HB wasn’t in ODST as a weapon; it was only ever meant as an easter egg in the NMPD cutscene.
Seeing new content for Halo 2 Classic and Halo 2 Anniversary would be great at this point, Halo 3 has been getting all of the new content. Even new maps for Halo 2 Anniversary would be nice.
For the Elite customization for Halo 2 Classic and Halo 2 Anniversary, porting over the ones from Halo 2 Campaign and being able to use them in multiplayer would be a great addition for Halo 2 Classic and Halo 2 Anniversary customization.
Multiplayer/firefight feedback:
Common problem with afk players and I’ve noticed them more in firefight where players will stay afk 99% then randomly kill a few things then go back to being afk.
Additional info: As far as I’m aware match ques are supposed to deal with afk players but does not actually work since players on purpose manipulate the game into thinking there active then go afk as soon as game starts.
MCC overall feedback:
Needs linux support so that players can eventually play on the Steam Deck when it launchs.
I believe this has been brought up multiple times before,
but for the love of god we need a votekick option, I’m tired of getting into games where a teammate constantly destroys any vehicle you get into, it’s completely out of hand, I know there are people concerned about votekicking being abused, but if you make the percentage of people needed to vote high enough it’s usually a non-issue, or very minor compared to the constant teamkillers.
Or at the very least count destroying a teammates vehicle as a betrayal for the purpose of booting people from the game
This might be a little silly and purists might call foul, but it’d be cute if, for each unused Moa location, a Silenced SMG or Automag spawned. This provides an opportunity for the weapons in the campaign without feeling intrusive, while making those little Moa spots stand out to players so that, on the next week, they’ll know where to keep their eye for.
I also strongly think that Bobs on certain levels should count for the Eye Spy challenge so players have a hair more variety. Adding the golden moas to Halo 3: ODST would be a nice touch too.
honestly, I’d love this. It would give an incentive to go after the golden moas other than to get the seasonal poin each week
- MCC HALO GAME: NA all games impacted
- FEEDBACK: Zooming in on KBM at 2x,5x, and 10x seems reduce mouse speed by 2x,4x and 12x respectively(Measuring cm/360) .Given the current aim controls there is no way to keep my hip fire sensitivity the same as my zoomed in sensitivity. Can we add the needed settings so that my sensitivity can be the same no matter the weapon or zoom level.
Thank you,
- ADDITION This would mean the world to me the game is amazing and I hate dealing with this problem.
Feedback: Put the 20th anniversary items/nameplates in the store rotation or bring them back at a later date some other way.
