MCC 20 Year Halo Anniversary Feedback

We know what classic rules do, the option is just broken. If you play Gearbox’s port, that option was also there. It primarily just changes weapon starts and some weapon spawns to not be PC.

SUGGESTION: This isn’t necessarily related to 20th-anniversary stuff specifically, but seeing all the lowered weapon (alert carry) screenshots of the Orion armour people have been taking lately has got me thinking: why are lower weapon button combos still a thing?

It’d be nice if the MCC team could update each game to follow in Halo 2 Classic’s footsteps by making the lower weapon/raise weapon function tied to a single button (press down on the D-pad) as opposed to the finger twister button combos we’ve had since Halo 3. It’d help with screenshots and with machinima productions Immensely.

Also, I’m pretty sure Halo 4’s lower weapon button combo still only works on the default control scheme but I’d have to double-check.

@Spartinel Yeah, and if you use Halo 4’s control scheme the combos for the other games don’t work.

I wasn’t aware of that issue. Hope that gets fixed too

Honestly, I wish there were other options to obtaining the 20th anniversary stuff along side the exchange. I think they should have had challenges which allowed you to obtain said 20th anniversary items and what not so there is something players could work for, but also have them in the store for those who may not have time to complete challenges but may have enough points to spend.

Can I ask for some Halo 5 updates here?
-Please add M+K support, like in MCC. You already made it for PC version of Forge, please port it to Xbox.
-Please add options for separate language select for voices and subtitles, like in MCC or Infinite.
For MCC:
-Please add all games and gamemodes to crossplay
-Add weapons skins from unreleased Halo Online (there is alot of stat changing skins, but why not add it just as cosmetics?)
-Add option to toggle skins in campaign in Halo 4
-If it possible please add more transtalions for subtitles in Halo Reach, CE, 2, 3, ODST (russian, for example, we have only Halo 4)
-Always want one thing - if it possible add classic weaons models as skins for Halo 4. Like Halo 3 MA5C or BR55, etc. with classic sounds. This would be a bomb. Would be nice if Halo 3 and Reach have same thing (if it possible, of course) for classic or Halo 4 skins for weapons, but it’s not so nessesery.

Firefight Feedback (DOUBLES MATCHMAKING)

  1. We miss FISTFIGHT, ARCADEFIGHT, FIESTAFIGHT and even Generator Defense in doubles matchmaking. The variety is sorely lacking.
  2. Getting Waterfront with Fuel Rod/Needler and those annoying snipers that are on the clifftop out of bounds is a real pain to deal with. Any chance of being able to disable certain maps?
  3. More crashes this season. Almost guaranteed one of us will crash over the course of an hour. Sometimes just kicked back to the main menu, but sometimes the dreaded UE4-MCC fatal error and have to kill the task.
With the recent anniversary patch, we had three good sessions with no crashes, but then both of us simultaneously got the UE4-MCC error. oh well.

I think Snickerdoodle said they are working on migrating that data at a later date.

FEEDBACK: I guess I waited too long to edit my original post, but… please bring Orion to some of the other games. This has been a dream come true, but I, and probably most, don’t play much H2A, and even if I wanted to, the limited selection of maps doesn’t allow for long-term playability.

Please re-consider how the exchange stuff works. I have plenty of points but I don’t play the game every week. If I forget to log in and grab a limited time item then I have no ETA for when I can get it again.

It would be better if instead of rotating the items that there were instead challenges that stayed active that allowed someone to unlock it at any time. The Bug-Stained Buck skin could still be a challenge instead of a RNG store item. if I miss getting the SPI armor during the week of November 24th and December 1st I have no idea when I might be able to get it.

This is a very weird form of time-gating.

I feel similarly about the SPI armor, but I also agree that the Orion armor would be cool to see in other games too.

I have to agree with this fellow over here. While I love the new content we’re getting, I have to say that its distribution is heavily imbalanced. For instance, this is the first time we see something added to H2A multiplayer. The Orion armor is really cool, but I would love to see more the like visor colors, weapon skins, and vehicle skins, and the same applies to H2C multiplayer which has gotten nothing at all. I would argue that both versions of Halo 2 multiplayer are in desperate need of new, fresh content. Additionally, I would love to see the Elite armor sets from the Campaign make it into H2C multiplayer (Ranger, Councilor, and Honor Guard), and I would love to see the H3 visor colors, weapon skins, and vehicle skins added ODST Firefight.

The MCC has crashed a couple of times now midgame while playing Halo Reach Slayer on my Series X. The game just freezes then my Xbox makes a strange sound like it’s struggling a little or it’s trying to rectify the freeze or something, and then the game crashes. I don’t like this. I didn’t get a Series X to have to deal with things like this. My original Xbox One never had issues with the MCC crashing. This console should be more reliable when running this game however this has happened twice now. The first time I re-loaded the game up immediately and was able to escape a ban (much to my surprise). This second time however I got a 5 minute ban. I fear what will happen going forward. Any suggestions aside from turn the new armor off which it already is?

Turning the exchange into a normal store using Season Points would be preferable, IMO. Perhaps items that are in farther tiers of the user’s passes could be in the rotation instead of exclusive items.

I’m sure that they would love to add new stuff to H2C MP, but H2 is likely much harder to add stuff to, given how its pretty much held together by duct tape and prayer.

I think the 20th Anniversary content is really cool, but I wish it wasn’t so spread out. Feels weird that I’ll be waiting to unlock all the 20th Anniversary items all the way through the end of December. Personally I would like to see the release window cut in half and have more items in the exchange at once. Let us unlock them before Infinite’s release.

Additionally, I’m bummed out that most of the content is for Halo 3, despite this anniversary being for Halo CE… I love H3 and will enjoy the content… I’m just surprised there wasn’t SOME sort of skin for CE.

It annoys me when people continuously meme this line, and then refuse to elaborate.

I don’t think this is needed and would probably also be completely unnecessary as these items could easily be unlocked by unlocking all seasonal content before it. In the worst case scenario, you have to spend 91 season points to get it which isn’t too bad if we take into consideration that you unlock everything before it.

Just 91 season points, no biggie. How many weeks of grind is that?

If we assume that you are primarily focusing on the season point yielding PvE challenges, you will get on average 6 season points per week which would mean that you would get enough season points after 16 weeks (4 months) which isn’t too bad. If you combine it with some season point yielding PvE challenges, you can reach this target after just 8 weeks (2 months).
