MC Saga Playlist Corrupt?

Currently playing through The Master Chief Saga campaign playlist.

Last night I finished Halo 2 but after the final cutscene the screen went black for some reason. Pressed the View button to try and switch back to classic mode and see if anything would happen. I was greeted by Cortana’s face up close to the screen with half of her face missing (kind of like the faces in AC: Unity, looked like more of a clipping error because she was up close) and she was just stood blinking for god knows how long.

Anyway, I couldn’t pause the game unless I pressed the Home button and jumped back into the game. From there, I chose ‘Save & Quit’ and then tried reloading the playlist. It says my next mission is Halo 3: Arrival, which is true, but every time I try to reload the playlist I get returned to the menu after the game briefly tries to launch the cutscene.

I’ve tried quitting the game entirely and a hard reboot so far, but it appears this entire playlist is corrupt and I’ll have to start over. Has anyone else had this problem and maybe been able to solve it?

I’m having this exact issue. Weird zoom in on Cortana’s clipped face and then not able to play Arrival after save & quit.

I found that it happens when you transition between Halo 2 and Halo 3 only. What I suggest to do is start a new playlist in the same category (ex. Glitch happens in Final Four, chose Tanks, Tanks ,Tanks) then exit the playlist and resume the original playlist. It’s annoying, but at least it works.
