I was just watching the Halo Xbox One Trailer from last year and I noticed something that might of been reported before but it has me perplexed and it was that Master Chief was wearing fur shoes. Now I had heard or read previously that the reason MC was wearing a cape / poncho was that he was unarmored but the fact that it he was bootless as well shows there has to be a presumably extended duration in time from the conclusion of Halo 4 to that moment in the trailer. Now I know that the trailer isn’t necessarily going to be in a 100% representation of H5G’s story but if MC has been soloing out in the wild long enough that his armor is so defunct MC has to resort to survivalist measures like fashioning fur shoes it certainly paints a ominous picture of how events have unfolded.
That or he might be a Wookie? just kidding.
Another few thoughts are that MC in the cape / poncho with fur shoes reminded me of what Rambo wore in First Blood while surviving in the woods and if MC is in a desert it would be uncommon to find hairy animals so he would of had to make those before venturing in the sands of that desert.
