So after watching PRE-ALPHA Uncharted 4 gameplay (http://youtu.be/Ow2cL-pp6p8), I was impressed by the graphics quality… In fact BOTH H5 and U4 look nice. The beta for Halo 5 so far looks amazing both gameplay and graphics wise. The exact same goes to Uncharted 4 (even though I do NOT have ANY PS console). I’m just being fair and not a fanboy. I just hope 343i will hit their goal with Halo 5.
343 Industries already has 60 FPS but is trying to achieve 1080p
Naughty Dog already has 1080p but is trying to achieve 60 FPS.
343i will have a TOUGHER time due to the XONE’s limitations.
Uncharted 4 will probably be the biggest game on the PS4 in 2015.
I DO have faith in 343i… Even though it’s a dark time for them based on what happened MCC. This “darkness” that they’re going through is forging them to be a great developer. Storms do make trees grow deeper roots after all. And BECAUSE there is darkness, there is also light. In fact, that light will shine even brighter than normal.
Many people are afraid of their dark/evil past and want to avoid it. But sometimes, they’re worth thanking. If those events hadn’t happened, you wouldn’t be the person you are today.
343i is going through that right now.
It’s awesome that PS4 fans have a great game to look forward to next year… ESPECIALLY by an extremely trusted developer it seems… Who also developed The Last Of Us (never played that either).
I just hope we get the same with Halo 5. So that way both sides of the gaming community can enjoy. I AM liking what I see so far based on the beta. And I do feel confident that 343i will amaze me. Especially in the campaign portion (I’m a campaign guy).
Maybe I’m just too worried???
What do y’all think?? Y’all think 343i can make Halo 5 a masterpiece???
I’m pretty skeptical of Halo: 5, but it could be good. Who knows, right? I think it’s very unlikely that it would be a masterpiece simply due to the fact that it takes some real refinement to do that. It took Bungie like 10 games or something to get to that point, and 343i is only on 4, even if you count CEA and the MCC, which, IIRC, were both mostly outsourced. My point is that they just aren’t experienced enough.
In terms of developer skills 343i isn’t in the same level as Naughty Dog
Uncharted 4 will probably sell more than Halo 5 considering the fact that Console sales, the last time I checked has a ratio of 2:1 favoring the PS4,
but who cares about that as long as Halo 5 is a great polished Halo game and helped sell an awful lot of Xbox ones everything should be fine.
and yeah 343 will gonna have a tougher time with Xbox one’s specs but looking at what they did at Halo 4’s visuals I am not worried.

It’s about 1.3:1 or less now.

didn’t quite a few Bingle employees stay back for 343i?
and imo, bungie had classics in their own right before HCE. I enjoyed the hell out of Myth long before I cared about the publisher
Comparing console games will get you nowhere.
Sony appears to be crushing it right now; they’re moving more consoles, thus having more success with their exclusive titles. And for the cross-platform games like Destiny, their exclusive content is pushing them further ahead, if only by dint of forcing XB1 gamers to pay the same price for less content.
MSFT flubbed the XB1 launch, no doubt about it. From the game sharing to the Kinect fiasco to the lack of a true console-launching title… it’s been hard for this Halo fan. They should have decided a long time ago to skip the last Halo title for the 360 (Halo 4) and instead go balls-out for an XB1 release. Instead, we get a faulty and terribly embarrassing MCC to bridge the gap between a faulty and poorly designed Halo 4 and a very, very distant Guardians.
I have faith, but I’m also jaded. I’m having tons of fun with Destiny, and honestly I only have room for one game in my life. MCC (and the guardians beta) might unbelievably be a no-go for me, at least for the foreseeable future.
destiny had an incredibly familiar feel to it.
cubed Guilty Spark, rekinned ghost, MC with less armor.
but I felt like I was being ripped off the entire time. I still cant pinpoint what it was, maybe the MP-that I found lacking.
IMO Halo4>Destiny
and that’s from someone with a PS4 and XB1

They do have an affinity for floating geometric shapes
The MP took some getting used to (gotta get used to the super/weapons+perks arrangement) but I’m a convert now. And the latest Iron Banner was the most PvP fun I’ve had since Halo 2, no joke. If it’s not your bag then that’s cool, to each their own.
But Destiny is apparently raking in ~ 3.5 million gamers a day. That’s CODMW3 territory, and it’s not even close to what you can expect for Halo 4 or MCC. It’s more than just cross-console padding, it’s a statement of what FPS games are evolving into. I don’t worry about the platform (Halo has proven it can be a powerhouse on XB only), but I do worry about what Halo is trying to be in a rapidly changing gaming landscape.

I had lots of fun on Destiny, and im not saying its a bad game, but it felt like they recycled halo onto us.
of course that’s what 343 is doing with MCC and it doesn’t work. maybe I was just expecting something “different” from Bingle, like they promised.
the MMO thing has never been my bag, and as big a fan of the Marrowind series as I am, I avoided ESO.
I really enjoy the Destiny campaign, and might go back to it while 343 fixes halo.
as for the online play numbers, the mmo aspect brings in a whole new culture and if 343 were to go that route, Id rather see them do the MMORTS with a halo wars type deal.
idk… maybe after tasting HMCC, I should try Destiny again. kinda like ginger for the palette?

Ginger for the palette, I like that! I can’t speak to others, but I’m loving it. And I never thought I’d say that about a game not titled Halo! It feels kind of… dirty.
