So I know the ranks reset after each month which is nice so if people come back after not playing for awhile they won’t be afraid to lose their rank and they won’t get dumped on by the people who are ranked at what they were before they stopped playing for awhile. My question is, after the initial ten games, can players go down in rank? Everywhere I read it says they won’t lose their rank after losses. Does that mean after they lose a couple of games or no matter what they won’t lose their current ranks until the end of the season?
Once you are in a group(such as diamond), you can only go up. You can go down in sub-levels of diamond, but not lower than diamond.
First of all, not every playlist will have seasons. Only select ones for ladder play will, and they won’t appear until December.
Secondly, you won’t derank, but you will lose progress in your current rank. So if you win 15 games in a row and then go on a long enough losing streak, you will lose enough progress to drop all the way down to when you first got that rank.

Not all playlists have ranks that reset, there are certain playlists called seasons which reset every month but the rest of the playlists do not reset
