It is really tiring to me how aim acceleration can suddenly switch off due to framerate issues in games of Reach. My latest occurrence was playing on Synapse today, and due to the poor choice of forge items, such as the glass which causes framedrop, my AA (aim acceleration) was completely gone by the time the game ended.
Having a chance to play the Combat Evolved again has been refreshing because that game features no such AA just like Halo 2 did. I don’t even see why it was introduced in Halo 3 in the first place, just another odd decision by Bungie, and other deviation from the original H:CE formula.
It would be nice for Halo 4 to have no AA whatsoever just like H:CE and H2. Perhaps 4 will be considered a Halo game in the future with better game programming?

So you have your right analog stick in the center position. If you move it all the way to the right, and while watching the reticule in the game at the same time, the movement will start off slowly then gradually shift to full speed–hence the name, aim acceleration. This process is very subtle though and lasts very shortly.

Aim Acceleration and if you don’t know what that is. It’s when you spin around and start slowly and pick up speed. If you want to try for your self in CE(A) just move your anolog stick to the left or right all the way and it will be full speed but if you do it in reach you would rotate slowly and then pick up speed instead of starting at full speed.
