Does anyone think its rather stupid that once you reach Onyx in a commendation and you get 3000 cr then you need, say 10,000 more headshots to reach max you don’t get any reward at all once you’ve reached it?
Yeah, I was so bummed when this happened to me.

Yup. Onyx Max should net you like 30,000cR each. But of course, it gets you a wopping zero. Once again scratching my head at what Bungie was possibly thinking…
While I agree that maxing a commendation should have a reward, I shudder to think of the boosting if that reward was as enormous as 30k… I’d prefer that campaign actions still gave Cr regardless of your commendations (as it is, reaching silver in a campaign commendation makes that action no longer provide Cr when you perform that action). Reduce the Cr, sure, but don’t punish me so completely for playing campaign instead of matchmaking…
