Following the news of Joseph Staten, it looks like this even bigger news has been hidden a bit. Certain Affinity, whos president is nonother than Max Hoberman, joined 343. Here’s the complete post: Certain Affinity partnership.
For whoever doesn’t know who Max Hoberman is: Max is the genius behind Halo 2 revolutionary multiplayer.
Hoberman left Bungie before Halo 3 release, if I’m not mistaken, or right around that time, but ended up helping both Bungie and 343 for every Halo. His involvement in Halo Infinite wasn’t confirmed until yesterday (August 26, 2020) and they’ve been at work on H:I for about nine months.
Now, with these two huge Halo pillars, I really hope 343 delays the game till 2022 and starts from scratch to make the most of those two’s influence.

Awesome news! His team at CA also worked on Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer if I’m not mistaken, which played great!
