Matchmaking...

With everybody complaining, I have been thinking of reasonable ideas on how to make everybody happy. I think I`ve come up with a solution that caters ( Is that how ou spell it  ) to both competetive and casual players.

Have Wargames ( For casual players, won by points ) and some ranked division of playlists controlled by MLG. Wargames could have the Halo Reach styled ranking system, and all the goodies they showed us at e3, and the ranked division of playlists could be more of the classic arena gameplay where all players start the same ( No custum loadouts, won by kills, no kill streaks, or instant respawns ).

If they had this I woundn`t be stuck continusly playing MLG CTF on Sancuary, I could choose an all slayer Playlist, or a Team Objective playlist, and quite possibly a playlist for each MLG gametype, who knows.

The main issue I see with my theory is my theory is splitting the Halo community in half. I got no fix for this yet :p.

Ok, so as I was watching Hoaxer’s gameplay on Adrift, I never really took notice of the scoreboard after his death untill towards the ending of the video when I decided to take a look at it to see how the new scoring system held up.

Now at 11:07, I paused the video, ( you should do the same ) and at 1st, all I noticed was the box to the far right, which the team’s individual scores. Then the box to the left had 3-digit VB numbers which in my opinion look like that individual’s rating for that specific match and can fluctuate due to a person’s inability to score and die more or ability to score more and die less. Just like Halo Reach’s Arena.

Now take a look at Hoaxer’s kills and the gut below him. Hoaxer has 16, while the other guy has 13, and the rating seems to be tied at 210 even though Hoaxer has 3+ kill difference over his teammate.

Now skip to 11:29, Hoaxer has 17 kills while his teammate has 13, and his rating seems to be a 225 while his teammate has 235.

The reason I know that this arena-style and that the ratings don’t add up to the points to win is this:
Hoaxer’s rating : 225
Above him: 235
Below him: 200
Elamite’s rating: 155
Add those up and you get
815, which is nowhere close to the team’s score.
Also, this gametype they are playing on isn’t Arena ut’s E3 Team Slayer. So I think that this Arena system will span out on all gametypes considering this was on the E3 Infinity Slayer Elamite played on Haven.Discuss
