So a buddy and I are trying to reach onyx. Every game we play against people in our tier (diamond) we get 10% towards onyx. (Has been as low as 2%)
and then we come up against a team, 2 onyx players. Both have been champions in the past. We try, we lose. We drop as much as 30%
i don’t understand how we beat people in our skill level and get next to nothing and then lose to arguably the best players at the game and lose everything we just earnt. Every loss we have had, has been against champion players. We want to learn, so we can beat these players but it’s a bit ridiculous that you can’t ever reach onyx when you’re versing the top players. 5 wins against people in our current skill level go up 28%. 1 loss against the top players in 2v2… drop 34%… go figure
