Can someone explain how matchmaking works? I’m a level 150 in Halo 5, this is the first halo game I have really gotten into the multiplayer, I was a plat 3 earlier today, the best I’ve ever been is plat 5, and lost 13 games in a row, how does that happen? I’m really at a lose I didn’t even realize it happened till I got off and looked at it on waypoint. I mean come on I am a a 50 percent win percentage and lose 13 in a row? It wasn’t like I was doing anything different also I always soloque.
Is this in one playlist or were these 13 losses over a variety of playlists?

I see. Well, hey, sometimes you get the short end of the stick multiple times in a row. Especially if you mostly solo queue. The only way to really string together some wins consistently is to party up. That way, you eliminate the randomness of skill levels among the teammates you’re given if you solo queue. You’ll be better than 4 randoms on the other side most of the time.
Didn’t really help that you left one of them. Also, I’d recommend Social. Specifically, Team Skirmish for the time being.

matchmaking is horrible, player population is low, smurfs are ruining it for everyone, and 343 won’t do anything, it is what it is.
Thanks for the tips guys. The reason I left that one game was because a buddy wanted to play war zone and get an unfrig and the game already wasn’t looking good usually if I leave a game it’s cause no1 is there or halo kicks me out. In the 2 war zone games we lost both but I dropped 26 in one and 28 in another with a riot and my buddy got his unfrig.

I just commented on another thread talking about a similar issue. There’s some kind of balance issue because it’s not just you. I have a 51.3 win percentage and a 1.9 KD (could be better could be worse) and I only play Swat. I have gone from a Plat3 to Gold6 since yesterday because of the awful teammates I’ve been paired up with. It’s been me and some low golds/high silvers against a bunch of platinums and even diamond. I don’t get it.
