Does anybody else feel like their shots are not registering? When Halo first came out it felt like everything was going smooth, now all of a sudden It seems a lot harder to kill someone! Or I just have started to absolutely suck lol. Just curious if anybody else is having issues
I’ve been wondering the same thing lol. I guess my reflexes are going downhill. I played a few breakout games this morning and it seemed the smg at close quarters wasn’t working for me. Either lag or hit detection like you mentioned. I had hit markers pop up and even fired first.

Excatly! I was like dang, my skill must have decreased within the past few hours lol.
There is also a phenomena in which, as you rank up and are pitted against progressively tougher opponents, it feels subjectively as if your aim is off or your weapons don’t do as much damage, etc. Just sayin’.

Hmm, that is interesting. That makes sense though, before I was ranked, I was having an easier time killing opponents. Since I’ve been placed in Diamond division it has been a struggle lol.
First slayer game I played in Arena me and my buddy did really well. Then it just went downhill from there. Out of the ten games we played to get our rank we only won 7 and somehow we got Plat 1 rank. Then we decided to get our rank in Team arena. We did much better in arena. We won more games and still got Plat 1. I guess in Team Slayer that first game set the bar high and we were getting people of equal or greater skill. Or I’m just not as good as I once was. But there could be a few games out there were the hit detection isn’t up to par.
343 needs to do a better job of matchmaking. Instead of finding the quickest game possible I’d rather wait some time to match with local players. I’m sick of the amount of lag I’m having and about to give up on Halo 5. Some games I’ll come away very positive and others like the 5 in row I just played are atrocious due to the second of lag. It’s not that your weapons aren’t doing damage but the other players have a split second jump on you and you won’t realize it because your not seeing that in your game. Please 343 have a setting for local play only!!!
Anybody having an issue in Australia with lag? Since the update I have only been able to find games with Americans, which I assume means I’m playing on american servers and therefore struggling with lag. Not had any problems until today.
The reason you feel like your bullets are doing less, is it because they have loosened the matchmaking parameters, so youre getting matched now with people outside of your region, meaning you’re playing on servers that are further away, which means it takes longer for the bullets to register, which then in turn feels like youre hitting less and doing less damage
