So since August season started I was getting March with platinum and diamond plp but I’m GOLD 2 SO I don’t get why the+&-+(! Is this happening I’m getting tired of this even if I play with my friends we are getting match with higher ranks… Is someone else having this problem or can someone tell me why is this happening?
There’s Not a huge difference between golds and plats, diamond it really can be a 50/50 thing cuz many diamonds are pretty bad but some are legit. Pretty much tho the ranking system isn’t perfect and does have flaws. As for you playing with your friends: are they diamonds or above by chance? Cuz that will draw in higher ranked players as well. Also, what do you mainly play when doing ranked playlists?
I don’t have problems playing with plat but the thing is that I’m getting matched with diamond and there’s is where I feel the difference… I most plat team or slayer

Same thing happens when you get higher in rank. You place Diamond then you get put against Onyx and in some cases, champion level players. Had this happen in my second and third placement game in Arena. Whole enemy team was high onyx or champion level players with me and 2 other team mates who collectively didn’t have enough games for a placement rank lol I’d never placed higher than Plat in Arena before and for some reason placed Diamond this time.

That’s also another issue with the current season. Many players have openly said how it’s weird that they’re placing in higher ranks when they’ve never been able to do it before. I’ve never been a diamond before (but I personally think I belong in it cuz the ranking system blew me off so many times) but this time I nailed it and am literally one/two wins from placing in onyx. You then have people saying they’re now trying to lose on purpose so that they don’t get placed in the higher ranks cuz you’re locked in there once you hit it, and those higher ranks will be nothing but sweatfests.
Ah OK I get it but is kind of frustrating cuz I’m trying to get better and the whole enemy team is diamond

I’ve had the issues before with Arena and being placed lower than my actual skill because I’ve placed higher in Breakout, SWAT, and Slayer before. This season has been weird for my placement games because I lost 3 or 4 of them and yet I placed higher than I ever have there. People have purposely got lower ranks since the game came out. High skilled players use smurf account and get mid to low gold and then get their onyx, champion level friends in a team and crush the gold/plat/diamond players the gold rank is pulling in. Personally, I prefer a close game to a complete blow out. Where’s the fun in steam rolling lesser players? I don’t need to pad my k/d or w/l ratios.
