In regards to my prior post, I read the feedback and comments. Yes you can see match history, but not from prior seasons. I understand that the game places you in which you played. i.e accuracy, kills, etc. What you guys are failing to realize, is that if you look at the history of the games that were played before, with the gold and plats, the score difference was astronomical. And for the fellow who said the kda was a 1.6 or whatever. Negative, the kda that I quit on was a 6+ or higher. More than happy to provide a screenshot. Once you do well in a match, other games will place you with higher already ranked players to see how you hold. Again this hasn’t happened for a couple seasons. Another guy commented saying that playing at the caliber myself and friends have played at, it won’t. E hard to progress back that high. But plat1 is a smack in the face. We weren’t beaten, our counterparts as teammates were terrible. The Matchmaking needs to be fixed to que you with players that are on the same skill set. I’ve never seen a player that goes 24-6 and other very positive games be remotely considered to play with someone who averages a negative kda and portrays basically a 1-15 game consecutively. . The sponsorship was a little drastic. Because since posting this, I have had feedback on my channel with subs. But in other posts I’m sure you can relate to, where only onyx and champ tier should have to reset considering the scores only count with them. That should be the case. None of this about the 50’s and what not in Halo 2. That I could understand but this is a ladder ranking system. And the way you are matches with teammates should be by the way your previous games were. Can very easily make it back to onyx and possibly champion. It the placement and Matchmaking was bogus. I’ll take the idea of one post to leave the feedback and other players as well.

Actually, we absolutely can see your prior season game history. Every game you have played (unless the server dropped the sync to the website) is recorded on your service record. That means we can see that your highest SWAT rank in the August 2016 season was Silver 5. Then the very next season, suddenly you were an Onyx.
Now, I’ll grant you that you played a LOT of games in the Fall 2016 season and as best as I can tell, you slowly climbed to the Onyx rank.
However.
There’s many games where you went pretty negative, lost to plats, etc. Being able to “artificially rank up” was an issue and the Matchmaking algorithms have since been adjusted. (This is all explained in those threads that you were linked to before.)
Ultimately, the system has looked at your matchmaking history and your MMR and has determined that you have raised it from the Silver level to Platinum - which is good!
But if you’re truly an Onyx player, again, you should be able to breeze from Plat 1 to Onyx in no time. The Onyx and Champs DO reset every season. They also have to re-earn their spot.
