Matchmaking voting system

I may be sounding like a needy girlfriend with asking for a bunch of things(it’s because I love you Halo!) The one thing that is really missing in Halo 5 and MCC is a matchmaking voting system. That’s an old feature that ensure the games would be a lot more fun more often. It might take down the diversity of the game types a little but it gives the player a chance to play what they want to and I really miss that feature!

I think the problem & main reason this was removed was due to the same things being voted for over & over again.

Being put into a game without a vote actually allows you to play a greater variety of maps & modes.

If people don’t get what they voted for they leave. Which in turns hurts the fun factor for that match that has to continue regardless.

Personally, I’m glad voting is gone.
No voting system is actually saving the players from themselves.

It makes sense letting most of the players determine what game and mode to play. But I prefer the veto system over the vote system, as it was simpler and reduced the chances of playing the same map multiple times in a row. If there was a map and mode that most players did not want to play, it would be swapped with another map/mode. Simple and effective.

What I really want is to stop getting oddball games in Halo 5 if I’m being honest lol

agreed. I can already see people leaving matches just because they didn’t get the map or mode they voted for with a voting system. Rather get rid of what everyone dislikes, instead of choosing what part of the group likes the most.

Honestly, I didn’t mind when voting was taken out of matchmaking. It prevented some maps from being neglected which was alright with me.

If there is some sort of voting system - then veto is definitely the way to go.

Or some sort of personal voting system. At the end of each game you vote thumbs up / down for the map (and / or game type). This then internally pushes you towards games that have the maps and game types you personally prefer.

Haha same here :joy: give me a way to never play that playlist again

The veto system was far and wide the best approach. Allowed for a lot of variety and still gave players some choice over the map.
