For the longest time in matchmaking I have delt with people without microphones in matchmaking. The only way I have had to communicate with them is the orangeish color that their service tag turns when they get hit to the score board going up on the enemy team. A nice way to fix that could be to add voices to the spartans in matchmaking. No I am not talking about like firefight voices. I’m talking like they hacve a coms link to communicate with everyone else on their team, so that everyone knows what’s going on their side. The spartans don’t have to be chatting away at all times. It could just be short and simple lines like “Taking fire!” when at a certain sheild strength. Those kind of things. They don’t need to talk about how their day went just short, simple, and sweet. K.I.S.S. Keep It So Simple. That’s all there is to it. Yes you can make them cocky, but adding a way for players that don’t have microphones to communicate to their counter parts that do would make gameplay much better for hardcore players as well as core.
I like that idea.
It would be kind of confusing, would I be talking or would a computer. Plus can I have Cabooses voice. So many questions so little time.
I don’t know hearing all those voices all the time might get irritating
ME 3 does this by calling out enemies, when you are capturing an objective, or when you get downed. It’s helpful but not as good as actual calling out. Then again, i roll with Geth Engineer-medic so i know where all the enemies are when i heal with turret and revive xD
I can see it being helpful but knowing most randoms who are not very good, they will tend to ignore these kinds of things and charge by themselves against to4. It could also be irritating for those who just want to hear death cries and bullets.
Good idea nonetheless. This coming from someone who’s played with randoms before, it might just help but i will always prefer my friends voices over in game callouts.
