Ok 343 I officially don’t understand you guys anymore. You come out with countless updates for Matchmaking but when comes to the overall game you won’t update it and get rid of all this freezing, game crashes, content browser unavailable, and lost connection to server issues that community has been complaining about for over a year now. Then what still bothers me is that you tweak like every weapon in Arena Matchmaking but when comes to the Magnum it has yet been changed. I remember back in the past announcements that you said that where’re going to change the Magnum after this season of HCS was done with, but it still hasn’t been changed yet even though that was last year if not 2 years ago. So, like now a days I rarely even play Arena Matchmaking because of the overwhelming OP Magnum and instead I play Custom Games and Warzone but when you have all those problems I said up top happening in it makes your community leave to go play a different game. Halo 5 is an Xbox Game Pass Game but there’s so many problems and bugs in the game that makes you want to delete the game and never install it again. But at the end of this all I really want to know is a few things like
Will Halo 5 Custom Games and Warzone problems ever get an update where they are fix and these issues like the Freezing, Game Crashes, Content Browser Unavailable, and Lost Connection to Server Issues won’t exist anymore. - Will the Magnum ever change in everything else but HCS Playlist or just change overall.
They aren’t going to change anything anymore. The overarching theme for Halo 5 has been broken promises and poor planning. I’m disappointed in the way they handled the game since launch and then even more so with how they managed it after it was a complete game about two years after launch (in itself a problem). There’s a lot to love, but the cons are quite numerous.
They update MCC yet give up on their most recent FPS. Doesn’t give me high hopes for Infinite.
I have MCC but don’t play it because those are old games. I’ll play every once in a while but I don’t want to play OLD games. Halo 5 needs server fixes. I don’t need new content, I just want the game to stop freezing after a match
Two different areas. The people sustaining H5 are not the ones who can fix bugs since those people are all working on Infinite.
The MCC team is different because that game was a mess and still has a lot of issues, so it’s not a surprise that 343 would spare their resources to work on fixing and sustaining it with a small team that’s only focused on MCC.
See (apart from campaign) if the issues were dealt with then the game would be great. It would be amazing to play with friends and on your own as the great ideas are there just a not so great exicution of those ideas. And because 343 isn’t evil like a certain company with E and A in there name I’m not as infuriated as I could be because (although it’s way to late by the time they come out) updates and effort ,no matter how little, is put in to fix the game unlike battlefront 2 and the money lootbox scams.

To be fair though, Battlefront 2 is a great game now. Once they overhauled the progression system, everything became fun. There’s a ton of content, the menus work flawlessly, and there’s an overall high level of polish. I don’t mean to suggest what they did at launch is defensible or okay, but they made it something enjoyable once everyone stood up to their atrocious practice.
On the other hand, there are still a lot of unresolved issues in Halo 5, ones that the community repeatedly informed 343i about. They were all looked over and resources were instead directed toward weapon tunings that a vast majority of players were not even thinking about.

This is very true and I did consider buying it when conquest was announced (more or less) EA’s loot box philosophy is damaging to their games. 343 do also have monetisation problems in REQs but they didn’t try a battlefront 2 and have everything there in to loot boxes and gambling. The randomness is frustrating at times because I have 30 common do boosts after two months if owning the game the gameplay is satisfactory as are some game modes. (E.G classic fista or H1 Swat). I do agree about your point on EA’s partially redemption and 343s one but at the same time from what I saw the game was broken from a performance issue in bugs and not because everything was pay to win. The bugs were a big problem but I consider pay to win worse.
As a little extra question for every first match the game goes through when it is launched fails to connect to a dedicated server. It may be because I bought a pre-owned disk and not a new digital download but if anyone experiences this do tell me.
