Not sure how many halo games did this in the past (I know for sure that Halo 2 was like this), but during the matchmaking search screen instead of showing the gamer tags and ranks of your opponents, it should just say “Matched Player”. Then after the game is finished you see the ranks of all the players. There are many times where you can see you are about to face a pro or some other player who you might see from their stats is ridiculously good at the game and you have a chance to leave before the game launches. Seeing only a matched player you would not be able to see stats and ranked except of people only in your party. There are many time where one player would quit out of a full game and then you would be stuck waiting forever for a backfill of the game to take place. I can’t count how many games we didn’t have because one or two people left the match before it started.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this one yet but I think it would help in the matchmaking process.
