If it isn’t the lag that is killing this game, its the uneven matchmaking.
I’m being teamed up with unranked players all of the time.
The last two games, the opposite teams were full platinum’s.
The last game, I had three unranked players on my side.
FFS Sort it out.
You are going to have unranked players for a week or two due to the reset and new players just starting. can’t avoid it. Will say though that team balancing seem hit and miss. Sometimes it good other times not.
You should never get three unranked players on the same side.
I feel that there are not enough players playing the game.
It was like this in pre-season.
In my opinion the match making algorithms are not very good. (or there aren’t enough players).
The last twenty games I’ve played in have been the worst ever, the teams are dreadful if its not the lag killing the game.
I agree, I finally got my Onyx last night but the climb was a very interesting one. A lot of games played with very uneven teams. It’s a surprise that I’m still getting matching with platinums given the mmr difference. Even get placed with/against golds at times. I made a thread about this a while back but it didn’t really get any responses.
Sometimes unranked players are the best ones in the lobby
I beens aying this for a while now. I dont think it is fair to the higher ranked players to have people placing play against you or with you.
But thats just my opinion. I owuld prefer everyone starting off the same and woking there way up. It seems that way has less problems like this happening.
Its all for data to be collected. Any bugs that can be noticed and any room for improvements. We’re gonna have to deal with it for awhile until they have enough information to know that the game is running okay. Hopefully they can make Solo Team Arena for solo Players and Team Arena for people have a premade 4 to really separate them and that there will be no odds of you facing a premade 4.
Being unranked does not mean you are bad. Currently I have not played most of the playlists, but in my few playlists that I did play, it seems it is matching me to ranks that I was in during pre-season. Also, if someone just won a match in Gold and absolutely destroyed the other team, then that unranked player will then be playing in a Plat game, and so on and so on. It’s how this ranking system works. If you truly care about your rank, try and get people to play with, since it is a team playlists, not FFA.

I generally start off well, realize I’m playing with unranked players and my K.D drops rapidly as I’m team shot by the other team with no backup.
I try and follow my team, but they have just found the constant sprint, as they try and charge everyone.
No one using head sets, although I try and shout out to back each other up and to control the power weapons.
This isn’t enjoyable and is getting worse.
I’m off to the pub. I’ve tanked my K/D and W/L enough for this week. I’m a pretty poor player any way, without this going on.
Can’t see me playing this game much longer if the servers aren’t sorted and the match making made more even.
You can check my game history if you want to see how poor the matchmaking has been. I shouldn’t be playing this many unranked players. I wouldn’t have a problem if they had high CSR and knew roughly what was going on with the new mechanics, but they are low CSR. True unranked players.
They need to bring back the older mechanism where winning teams stuck together for several games, and the teams are broke up if you get pummeled.

I got paired up with a bunch of crap teammates last night in breakout, i mean literal -Yoink- players, but again i was solo in MM so I was kind of asking for it. Even with bifectas, trifectas, triple kills, and everything else I wasnt able to get the W for most of the games. I think being put into those situations constantly makes you a better player, especially in breakout even if the other team is a low rank. I try to take it as a lesson more than a curse.
the reason for unbalanced teams is because population is very low.
Ive had a full unranked team vs my full team of golds. The slaughter was so intense I almost felt bad. almost. Still this is terrible ranking and matchmaking. It takes weeks to get into your proper rank so matches begin becoming even to an acceptable degree, then,its 343s bright idea to reset so noobs get to play mlgs again and we all suffer with unranked team,mates and opponents for eay better or total scrubs. Ranking and matchmaking might as well be 100% random at that point.
I don’t see the issue with getting matched with unrankeds, everyone gets placed somewhere and some of the time the unranked players will actually be better - although as you get higher ranked this becomes less and less likely. Maybe they should put a cap on unranked players being paired with plat or lower?
I’ve been in games where that are so unbalanced, even in my teams favor. I have no problem with being partnered with an unranked player but it should at least be even. Maybe they should base it on W/L or KDA?
You may have half a chance finding an even game in America. Sweet FA chance finding them in Australia. Player pop is so low here you will find Onyx taking on unranked players… and that’s if you actually find a match. FFA, breakout, holiday list, BTB are ghost towns. In Slayer you’ll find enough players to get into a game, but the ranks are wide ranging. You’ll usually only find the same 6-10 players as well.
Its frustrating that you can find a Pvp match easier in Destiny than Halo. Pvp in Destiny is just awful. Its equally frustrating seeing Americans searching at 3am and finding games quicker than I can at 8pm.
The only list here which isn’t on life support is warzone.
I keep playing swat games, getting 15 plus kills most games and still losing to people are much higher csr and having teammates who are lower csr. Also have had two times where I would lose a game to someone and play them immediately afterward and lose again, usually to teammates. Anyone else having this happen to them?
