So I decided to give arena a try after a week long break. I saw where 343 said they’d updated the matchmaking to be better. The very first match? My team: 4 unranked players. The other team:3 golds and one with whatever rank the blue one is. Way to go 343, it’s sooo much better now.
What was your rank last season? Cause you placement matches will first be based off of that so if you were platinum you will be playing a mixture of gold, platinum, diamond players for the system to pic which one you should be placed in
Just because you haven’t played a placement match doesn’t mean it guarantees you others that haven’t played a placement match. The system try’s to figure out where you stand by basically picking middle of the pack the first couple of games. From there it trys to associate you with others around the appropriate skill. Basically what Porcin3 Proph3t said.
Trust me, the way that match went it was completely one sided. I’m only an average player, last season I only got to gold 2 I think. The guys we played against were f’n good. In no way was it a balanced match.
