Matchmaking splitting BTB group/squad

I like to play with my friends (who doesn’t, right?), but… every time we play BTB, they divide us into different squads.

Why? Seriously…

we search for a game in the same squad (4 players) and when the game starts, we all get randomly moved to other squads…

We are still in the same team (blue for example) but one ends up in the alpha squad, another in omega and two in delta.

Is this like a new feature or modern team balance tactic? or just a bug? Whats the point to play friends like this?

UPDATE: 313 days later… still broken/happening

UPDATE 2: After Winter update today and 349 days later… still broken/happening + game crashing + long UI loading times + a lot of bugs… this is so sad.

Same except randomly kicks one of our party members out of the match.

It’s not hard to see why they might do this for matchmaking reasons. Plenty of other games you can go pubstomp in.
