Matchmaking Spawn Times

In previous Halo games, the respawn times for slayer games was typically three to four seconds. That was the perfect amount of time. Objective games typicaly had a seven to eight second spawn time, which was perfectly reasonable for that type of game. Halo 5 has put an enormous emphasis on the fluidity of gameplay. The seven second universal spawn time that is currently used in matchmaking for slayer and objective alike puts a damper on that. Just as I get on a roll, I’ll get killed and have to wait just a bit too long to get back in the action. It would be nice to see a reduced slayer respawn time. There is not much of a reason to reduce the objective spawn. Does anyone else feel this way?

OP I feel exactly the same way. The Spawn time for FFA Slayer is way too long. 8 seconds feels like an eternity and greatly disrupts the flow of game play in my opinion. 8 seconds doesn’t seem too bad in War Zone since most players will tinker with their load outs and respawn points, but in other playlists it really is frustrating. It would be great if there was little to no spawn time (4 seconds at the most). I really wonder if 343 will address this along with other complaints made by players such as players limited respawn points, a lack of a post game metal list, aiming issues, and other supposed problems players have been reporting.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see a tweak in spawn points, which in turn would allow a tweak in spawn timers.
I feel right now that since the spawning can be so close to an enemy due the map layouts, that having longer spawn timers allows more time for a “proper” spawn, but it doesn’t feel that way, especially in SWAT.
