Thought I’d show some examples of the garbage matchmaking balance. These were taken when I was platinum in all playlists but doubles where I was diamond.
Platinums playing other platinums makes sense. Platinums on the edge of ranking up to diamond I can understand playing other diamonds. Platinums frequently getting matched against diamond/onyx and even champion players is garbage. Is the player population really so low that the game can’t find fairly even-ranked opponents?
I should also mention that I’m often solo or partied with 1 friend when I frequently get matched against full parties and higher ranks. Yet the last couple days I’ve run 3-4 man teams in breakout and the coin has been turned where we’ve frequently played against individuals and lower ranks etc.
I feel ur pain brotha, I have the same issue. I am Platine 2 and I keep getting Gold players in my teams and Diamonds in the opposite team.

You can’t derank out of a league. The ranking system is a complete joke purely because of that fact alone. Add to it the fact that they’re gonna reset (because that’ll help) so everyone starts over every couple months.
But still. Anyone who starts with “I’m playing solo” pretty much voids everything they say after that. Team playlists are designed for teams and ranking is based on wins. You simply will not magically win every game and it’s impossible to expect to have great randoms every game. You are utterly delusional if you EVER think that will be possible.

I don’t know how you interpreted that I expect to have great randoms and win every match. What I expect is that a game that boasts about it’s competitive arena playlist should at least balance the teams based on party size and the ranking system in place. Not put individual players against stacked teams and middle of the spectrum ranks against the most elite.

I’m a champion in swat. I only EVER play onyx and champions. If I rank down to onyx which happens when I play Adderall kids I’ll occasionally find a random diamond but it’s rare enough to not be a huge issue. When I search a playlist as a plat, I get plats and diamonds. I’ve never been lower than plat but I’m pretty sure you once again only match people at your rank or 1 above or below 99% of the time.

Plus you fail to understand that CSR is not locked to the rank. Someone can be placed in diamond and lose so much they have mid plat CSR and match plats. Then the plats whine about playing diamonds even though he isn’t doing any better that the plats.

You personally not experiencing the issue doesn’t negate that the fact that it happens to others. I frequently play up against diamond/onyx players on stacked teams, and I’ve even played against champions a handful of times even though until recently I was only platinum in every playlist. I tried FFA, and on my second placement match I was up against 5 onyx players. For these competitive modes to be taken seriously the game needs to actually attempt to balance the teams in skill and party size composition. Otherwise it’s all a joke.
