I quit playing the game for a few months. Not for any particular reason, but I was previously pretty high ranked in both open/soloduo playlists. Onyx 2000/ onyx 1800 or so. I started playing ranked again just for fun and I expected to lose some games, don’t get me wrong. But what happened to servers? Half the games are 70-180 ping, constant stutters, bad hit reg, poorly matched up teams. I’ve probably won 4 of the last 25-30 games, not including games where someone crashes in the beginning. The whole experience just hasn’t been a good time. Anybody else experience this? Has 343 said anything about server problems?
Well 343 just doesn’t really seem to know at this point. All the updates and patches fix things but it breaks tons more. In my opinion if they would have done nothing to the game it would be running way better.

With the exception of a very small minority who seem to have no issues, the overall experience of playing this game is brutally inconsistent and mostly leans towards being unplayable.
I currently reside in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where the weather is beautiful today despite being very cold. The blue skies and the presence of hummingbirds give you a sense that anything is possible.
However, we’ve had a ton of terrible rain recently, and it’s likely to start raining again tomorrow. Similarly, playing this game and having one good experience gives you a glimmer of hope, but the rest of the time it’s despair.

Trying to rebalance that 50/50 win percentage it seems like.
Making everyone have a 50% win rate was good on paper but in my opinion it makes me feel less satisfied on a win because I knew I was destined to win about half my matches anyway.

I couldn’t agree more with you on that one.
Yes I just started playing this game in November. It’s horrific. It’s also true about 50/50. You can carry for days, the system never loses. It’s actually scary how it works to oppress players instead of reward. They can take there lesser csr for losses n more for wins and stuff it
The matchmaking is horrid in social. I don’t fully understand this 50/50 thing you’re talking about. However, I am tired of being thrown in matches where 1 to 2 players on the opposite team are unstoppable and we just keep getting annihilated. If my skill level is nowhere near theirs why am I being matched up. This game is NOT fun!
Very bad idea. Something similar happened to me i won 10 ranked matches and lost 37, never gonna touch ranked again

That’s alright I was dropping a 1.2 kd with 5-6 kdr and lost 18 in a row
I’m pretty sure a new update broke matchmaking but i may be wrong on that front
