Hi, I have recently found my old Halo Reach disc lying around and have been installed it all on my Xbox One, everything seems to work fine but when in the matchmaking lobby I get the ‘Halo Reach server is unavailable at this time’ message. I have rebooted my modem, reset the Xbox settings, signed out and tried everything I can think of. Have a valid gold account and the best internet connection and have tried Ethernet as well. Haven’t had an opportunity to try a custom game yet. I am living in NZ and get up to 105mbps at times. I have been waiting like others have suggested, checking twice a day for almost 3 weeks now it is also worth noting I am able to watch my friends play online and broadcast while I simply sit there and can do nothing. Please, any suggestions would be very appreciated.
Sounds like you have the right setup, but I think the problems may just be that the servers really were just unavailable at the time.
Hey !
I’ve got the similar problem but there this message when I want to go to Matchmaking : “Your not connected to Xbox Live, you must be connected to start”.
Valid Gold account, good internet, Wifi, etc…
I dont know what I have to do…
I know this may be obvious but whenever I load reach i have to wait like a minute before everything has been initialised and I can actually play.
In matchmaking, i am getting constant ‘Halo Reach server is unavailable’ messages. Spartan preview is showing recruit/black armor. If it finally does let me into matchmaking, i get ‘failure to load map’ errors, despite everything loading just fine in customs. What am I doing wrong? Playing on xbox one, and any other game works fine. Just downloaded/installed everything this week. Using a disc.
It’s just a broken game on the Xbox One. the software engineering team had to do a lot of looping in the coding to just to make it run smoothly on the 360, pushing the limits on that console. The BC emulator isn’t up to par to what it should be and with the 360 being an Intel-based chip setup and the one being an AMD setup it, further complicates how commands are processed between the two. In the end, Reach will never work well on the One; it’s sad because the 360 now has been taken over by jtaggers and modders so sooner or later they’ll need to make patches for these problems. However, knowing how Microsoft works they will most likely just drop live support for the 360 and just maintain the One consoles. Forever making Reach unplayable and laggy. Sorry to say this game is dead and not worth anyone’s time anymore. I loved the game probably the number one games in play time for me but it’s just not what it used to be.
