Do these new matchmaking preferences make a difference?
Ive been using the Focused setting hasnt made a difference to me im still getting into games with bad connection.
Im from Aus and im getting into US Lobbys still. The game is unplayable.
Let me know your thoughts on this.

Finding exactly this as a uk player. Played 4 games of ffa and 1 was unplayable on usa servers and one was not much better. So much for focused matching you based on connection. I want to be able to toggle region lock, not some setting that makes only half of my games playable (still better than the none i had and still got onyx 1809 from last season). I want to choose when to be cannon fodder on us servers and when to play a skilful game on my home server where my skill actually has some bearing on the result.
Wow, not bad. Here in the U.S. it works wonderfully well. Someone should start a megathread and then file complaints in the support forums. I know it is disheartening but one step closer.

No wonder. Again only players from the US benefiting. I posted yesterday saying the “focused” search doesn’t work. PLEASE give us the option to search STRICTLY LOCALLY…not to search locally for 5 seconds then open the region to pretty much strictly north american.

343 have never cared much for us eu players 
i imagine its perfect for usa because you guys get better matches if you are on home servers a lot - not north american players fault, but it is 343s fault. I just want fair matches. Region lock toggle should have been the option. It doesnt take a rocket scientist looking through forums to kniw that is what eu players would have preferred to this ‘nothing’ update
