Matchmaking Preference Settings

In Halo 4 i want to be able to set the multiplayer to filter out certain maps/players/attitudes ect… as i feel it would greatly enhance the experience if you are playing within your comfort zone.

I propose an idea that should make everybody happy.

You have a filter system similar to Reach’s, but better:

DLC:
Map Pack 1 (enable/disable)
Map Pack 2 (enable/disable)
Map Pack 3 (enable/disable)

Map Filter:
This would list all maps, including those activated by dlc. You would have an option to select your favourite maps (ones you want to play the most) and least favourite (so you’re unlikely to play them)

Player attitudes:
You would select your own area of player attitude, and be able to pick certain players to play against EG. Pro, Casual, Fun, Noob (as in new players), Veteran (older players to the game) Talkative, Team Players, Lone Wolf, Riflemen, Drivers, Power weapons expert, CQC master ect… so you would have a variety of different options to get matched up with a team you would like to play with, on maps that you like.

Game Chat Forced: Enable/disable

Guest Players: Enable/disable (so if you want to get matched with you, another player and his 3 guests, or not)

I think that these options would cover most of what we’d like to set, though other suggestions are obviously welcome!

this is why we have the vote system. if you had a map preference it would really mess up and increase search times

> this is why we have the vote system. if you had a map preference it would really mess up and increase search times

And it would make it easier to boost etc.

While this are all great ideas, I’d really especially love to see the DLC search restriction, unless they improve the system that purposely puts you with other players that have the same DLC. We can all agree that it didn’t work too well in Reach.

I would really just like to see the option to only find players with specific map packs. It’s hard sometimes to find matches on noble, defiant, and Halo map packs on the normal playlists.
