Anyone else remember the good old days of H2 and H3 Xbox live with those pre-game matchmaking lobbies? Anyone else miss them? Put the excitement in seeing who you’d go up against, what map and what gametype as well. Now its boring. No pregame lobby with gamertags, chat, map, gametype…nothing. Where’s the excitement in that?

To be fair Halo 3 also had a veto system so you could veto maps/modes, so there was an actual purpose to the pre-game lobbies. Plus loading was slow back in those days so why not have you wait in the lobbies?
Now loading is pretty much instant and there’s not really enough maps or modes for them to bother with a veto system lol
Yeah it’s weird not to be able to see the people you’re gonna be playing with/against until you’re already in the game. Plus I think it’s super weird that once the game is over, the game literally says “you don’t have to go home, but go away” by splitting you up from the people you were just playing with. So if I like my team I have to basically hunt them down in the recent players menu???
But yeah, I’d kinda like it to be honest, at least in social - it was chill
I heard a rumour it was to prompt people to go to the store, as you wouldn’t if they were simply waiting for your next match.
