Hello people who actually have stuck around this far,
Now that the game seems to be in a semi working state (after almost a month) there is something that has bugged me since the announcement of the playlists, and that is the fact that (much like Halo 4’s Haven) you end up playing the same 2 maps over and over again.
Classic example would be H2C; This 99.9% of the time will be Team Slayer BR on Warlock or Team Slayer on Foundation - The extra 0.1% being TS BR on Midship. Any objective gametypes get left out to dry because nobody votes for them. The only other objective playlist is BTB (which lets face it is the same amount of players as everything else just on bigger maps in effect) but the dilemma here is, 98% of the time people vote Halo 4 as the hopper is across FIVE games - I don’t understand why at all…
I want Halo 2 “as I remembered it” which was objective gameplay (IE; Team Traning 4v4, BTB 8v8 or Skirmish 6v6) so wouldn’t it be a tad more ideal if we were to look at the playlists and kind of sort them via games (Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4) rather than merge everything so one minute you are on Halo 2 and the next you’re on Halo 4 not knowing what button does what (Yes I’m aware you can set a default but Halo 2 doesn’t have sprint and so on) which I dislike… Maybe I’m alone there.
I dunno, anybody else think that a menu where in you choose a base game to play then have select playlists specifically for that one title would be a better approach?
Halo 2 > Team Slayer, Team Skirmish, BTB, Etc…
Halo 3 > " " , " " , " "
As an example, issue is there that some playlists will have 0 population (although the reason there would probably be quite obvious, nobody likes it). I just want to play Halo 2 on more than three maps ^^;;
