Didn’t Halo 3 have more people playing than Halo 4? I thought there would be far more people online, even though crack flops 2 just dropped…
black ops 2 just came out tuesday, that’s where they went.
I noticed this too. It makes me sad. Hopefully word of mouth and the upcoming holiday season will see an increase in active players. I’m hooked for good and will be playing this game for the foreseeable future.
My friends and I don’t play CoD, but we aren’t playing H4 either because we don’t play CoD.

People flock to the new CoD when it comes out. Which has already happened. Don’t listen to the people saying the players who left they will come back. They wont. You’ll see an influx of players at Christmas though. Usually referred to as the ‘‘Christmas noobs’’.
You can already see how it’s going to play out by watching Youtube commentators. They were worshipping Halo 4, calling it ‘‘game of the year’’ & posting the crap out of it. Now my sub box is filled with BOII. I know one commentator who even admitted he was just posting it for money.

Plus connection issues, lack of maps, lack of playlists, & most of all being stupid enough to come out a week before CoD terrible marketing strategy by 343/Microsoft

Why does this not surprise me? It seems as though they are spending more money advertising the game than they are actually building and testing it, riding the name to the bank.
Hopefully Halo 5 will come out on a next gen console so they can include all the things they left out of Halo 4.
screw waiting for 5. if they cant fix these issues in a couple weeks most of the population will be gone. why do we always have to be the beta testers for a finished yoinking game. I’m getting really sick of it
Sounds like to me you need to go MAKE and PLAY your OWN game and stop trying to destroy Halo 4. Halo 4 is fine just the way it is.
I LOVE how people think the population is going to disappear. They said the same thing about Reach, saying its dead and no one plays it. There was still 80,000 people playing up until Halo 4 and I never had trouble finding a game.

Look at Battlefield 3, they had massive issues as well and still do. The population for that game is still massive. I hope you know the people complaining on these forums everyday are the minority of the Halo 4 community.
Thats beacuse CoD came out this week.Should be a “balance” over the next couple of weeks followed by a xmas boost.
Yes Halo 3 has more people playing, that was over 5 years ago when Halo was the most popular game out and Halo 4 only shows how much people are playing a certain playlist while Halo 3 shows any one playing the games all together.

On topic: I live in UK and I can remember playig halo 3 after It had been out for 2 years and its population was a healthy 250,000+. And remember, this was without the pop boost of the USA and Canada.
The instant a visual ranking system hits Halo 4, people would come flooding back including myself. But since thats never going to happen, they have already announced the system they would be installing in the new year will be invisible in game. So halo 4 will continue to die, just as halo reach did. see you all on halo 3 and black ops 2 where competitive players have something to do.
