Matchmaking issue.

On Xbox one there is a small player base, and in 3v3’s I keep being matched against the same 10 or so level 50’s who are all partied and constantly rush. No matter what I do, they always target one person first to end the game within 5 minutes. The matchmaking should be finding games separately for people who are partied up and those who are not. I will concede this is tough to have with such a small player base, however I believe the larger issue is the fact that I am being teamed up with level 10’s and 20’s, and the party of 50’s is able to exploit this.
The matchmaking should level each team according to the players level, seeing as we should already be playing people in the same division/rank, right?

Yeah man I’m not trying to be pessimistic here but I work full time and I’m only playing one game a day so it’s extremely frustrating to have all this new content and not be able to find even one game in either the 1v1, 2v2, ranked, unranked, etc… and even when you do it’s exactly what you just stated, where there’s 3 people all from Europe or God knows where and they completely rush one person who’s waaaaaaay too new to be in the same game you are, and they exploit this time and time again, to be honest I don’t know how to go about fixing this problem but overall it’s because only 20,000 some odd people actually play this game.

Why don’t you play 2’s then or 1’s? I swear its fun too.

Yeah I’d really suggest just trying out 1v1 if you don’t have people to play teams with. With the small player base a separate party playlist is unlikely and it also mean that unbalanced matches are more likely. Unfortunately, rushes are part of the game in high level play. Even most longer games start out with people rushing each other. Early map control is too important to avoid building units right away if you want to win consistently, so that is why you’ll see rushes so often. Also while ideally you will play someone around your level, with the small player base the unfortunate reality is that often times you will see players in onyx and champion playing those in diamond in platinum. One piece of advice I can give you is don’t resign if you are playing ranked. If you resign your mmr (the behind the scenes number used for matchmaking) will not go down if your mmr gets inflated from always resigning you will end up in harder matches. If you know you’ve lost self destruct your base and wait a minute.

Also in ranked, the matchmaking will not take the players level into account, just mmr. I’m not sure how the matchmaking tries to balance games in unranked without mmr.

I agree with everything man, but I am just bummed. I am a full time, year long uni student who rarely has down time so when I do get time to sit down I always quick play it. I bought HW2 because of the prospect of bigger wars due to teamwork. The AI gets old because of how predictable it is, and I like ranked because whats the point of playing if it isn’t tracking wins and losses.

i cant even find a game. i have gold and a great internet connection. i left my computer to search for games for 2 hours and still didnt find anything. (i was in the ranked 2v2 thing)

I’d play 1 vs 1 and work on rushing yourself.

I’m not an aggressive player by nature. I would turtle if I could. But I’ve learned in this game, I will lose every damn time. So I’m slowly learning how to rush. It’s not a perfect solution, but often times, my rush counters theirs and we end up in a longer war that’s more satisfying to play.

Please don’t revive old topics, thanks.
