Why do I play this game? I work hard to get a higher rank every time I get on. I’ve gotten really good at the game even beating onyx level players. But 343 puts me at gold. If I’m gold and can beat onyx level players why am I put with silver ranked players who can’t even get one kill against other silvers. My accuracy is usually around 60, my KD for each game is around 12. Instead realizing that I win a lot and I’m fairly good and acknowledge that by giving me teammates that are also capable of doing so, they put me with teammates that are the polar opposite of my skill level. I went 19-2 in a game that was 3v4 (the other team having 3 players and us 4) you’d think that we would win but no, I get two teammates that went 1-17. Like why? Why? I work hard to be able to go 19-2 and help my team win but instead of putting me with other players at my level, they give me teammates that go 1-17. Now how is this fair? You might say well if you even each other out then you’ll win. I would agree but what happens at this level is there are smurfs. It makes the playing ground unfair because I have teammates who are throwing games while the other team has smurfs warmer by up and practicing and I’m stuck here trying to rank up but I can’t. If you’re thinking, well you went 19-2 one game, well yes I did and I’ve done better and worse and yes if you’re asking am I consistently going positive then the answer is yes. It’s just unfair to have 1 player who did the best and have him derank while he is obviously not at the same level as the players they’re playing with and against. It just makes it no longer fun for everyone to play the game we used to love.

There’s an easy way to game the system to get yourself good teammates almost all the time. I reckon players at the top and players making their way to the top do this fairly often. They find themselves 3 other teammates they can count on consistently. That just may solve some of your problems.
It’s very hard to make any meaningful assessment of the way matchmaking is treating you since your service record shows that you’ve never played the game.

I have 119 friends added that play halo 5 and only around 10 are on at a time. Rarely do they want to sweat in HCS and neither them or any of the people I play at this rank are too consistent. I used to have friends I did this with on my old account and they app quit halo because of its bs. I might join them.

Well, quitting would definitely solve all your problems. Maybe that’s the road you should take if you can’t handle what the game is throwing at you anymore.

It’s just frustrating in general to play a game so broken that can be fixed with such little effort yet the company isn’t doing it. If they’re spending all their time working on halo 6 instead of fixing halo 5, well most people might just give up on halo completely and not buy halo 6. I want to keep playing but it’s just stale now and rarely is it actually fun.

You seem to hold your own against ranks close to yours and your K/d is around 1.1 Looks like it is working properly. Individual performance makes no difference in a team game, nor should it. If you want to be scored individually you need to play ffa.

It’s not only this account because this was my old smurf and other people I know have been placed platinum 4 when they play dim and onyx. I started to use this account as my main because of the gt. I would like to play ffa but it’s just so broken. When I was playing my 10 qualifying games I won around 6 games and got in the top 3 of 2/3 I can’t remember and I got plat 3 but on my smurf I lost my 10 games and got plat 2.
I know that my rank has probably been influenced by using this account as a smurf but the game should be able to see improvement and adjust accordingly.

But it won’t because it is a team game, if it based rank off of kills or individual performance then no one would go for the objective.

But why can’t it even give me teammates capable of working as a team.
Game has been like this since the HCS playlist came out. They screwed up ranking system because they didn’t want too many onyx players. Well this caused people who are true diamonds to go late platinum and most of the original onyx players got bumped down to diamond. But yet they are all able to match against each other because they are closer now which caused all kinds of wacked up balancing in matchmaking. So now you can have diamond players that are trash against diamond players that rates high onyx and it’s just a complete steam roll from there. The skill gap is clearly there but the rank says otherwise. Anyway I quit Halo and I’m waiting for call of duty ww2 cause this game blows now. I just wanted to see if people were still complaining about the same problem a YEAR later. Im surprised they haven’t came in here already and tried to tell you about Dr MENKE’s bullcrap flawless ranking system and how its clearly fixed. Yea I’ll believe in DR MENKE’s crap ranking system when I see halo 5’s population goes up and not down!

If you play well, you will eventually rank up. If you play enough, you will eventually play better too.
Honestly at gold and low plat you have nothing to complain about. Wait until you get to high diamond/low onyx and you run into the 2200CSR players on their alt accounts.

I do run into them at plat and dim on their smurfs and it’s just annoying because they’re also at gold and silver and it’s what’s making matchmaking more unfair.
Matchmaking can be a pain. Right now I’m losing rank on a -Yoink- losing streak because I keep getting put on a bad team. At one point I was the only ranked player while the other team was all ranked. It was going so bad I put the controller down and just said -Yoink- it. Got banned for 5 minutes, like whatever 343, it’s your lame -Yoink- system.
