Can someone acknowledge how terrible the matchmaking is? How the hell do I get matched up with three people who are playing their first game and the other opposite team has three diamonds and one platinum. We end up getting destroyed 50-12. Anyone else? Or am I alone here? Can the developers please do something about this?
Also, when people leave why can’t they add others into the game. It is absolutely ridiculous when the game ends up being 1 on 4, not fun.

Matchmaking depends on a hidden “matchmaking rating”, but heavy defeats happen all the time - even with perfectly “matched” teams. It’s just teamwork or elements of luck etc.
But join in progress shouldn’t be in ranked playlists at all, if it were to be introduced then you’d be de-ranked for joining a game that’s 30-49 and losing. A better, more productive alternative would be to have heavier bans/de-ranks for the first person to leave but smaller/no bans for the last. That way people would be more inclined to stick a match out but 2v4s or 1v4s wouldn’t be complete BS for the losing side.
I just lost a match yesterday in team arena… because my team quit one by one until i was the last man standing… really annoyed me. Check them out afterwards and found none of them had placed yet. So it’s kind of BS that people quit a losing match just so it doesn’t affect their placement. Wish we could do something like not allowed to quit in your first 10 matches or something but i know that;s not possible or unfair.

Yeah the way people dodge placement games like that is very obnoxious. Hopefully it gets fixed for the March season.
