I literally cannot go a game online (Halo 2 Anniversary) without getting absolutely -Yoink- on by everyone else playing. At best, I get about 5 kills at the end of the game while everyone else is averaging about 15-20+
Is there literally no matchmaking in this game? Do I always have to be paired with the MLG Pros? Playing multiplayer right now is making me feel like a masochist, and it just isn’t fun. How am I expected to get better when I can barely kill anyone before they’ve two shotted me. It would be so much better if I could actually play people with my kdr
This is why we need ranks. Nobody likes uneven games, regardless of who’s winning.
I have the same problem, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. I literally cannot find good enough teams to play against. Everyone I match quits out when we start winning.
I wish the ranking system worked.

You mean they bring their free points? I love it when they ar or smg charge and I 4 shot them so ez than -Yoink!- them
2 Right man I can’t even get a game been trying all day most of my sat wasted, Tbh theirs no excuse when the game has been out since nov 2014 just poor very poor and 343 don’t care why would they we still brought the game purely because it’s called halo. But they aren’t really looking at the long run pic here as 343 are already getting a bad rep as halo 4 umm come on not all that it could have been the forerunner fight at the end was like a Mario boss on n64 so weak man one grande killed him, killed of the 2nd main charter i would say it was good if it was, i miss bungie so much. this is not just pure hate without reason the match making in anniversary sucks still no rank no reach and it’s a miracle if i can find a game ever, and the patches aren’t doing anything 5 mounts still same problems tbh whats the point of saying with xbox when i can’t play halo their isn’t they should have never gone with it’s a whole entertainment center hasn’t worked for the wii and they where king back in the day if you can remember, sucks, good voice action but that’s been around for years you need a kinetic which they don’t give you anymore Internet is still the same sucks no flash player and slow,design could have been much better 2 u even need a adapter for you’re headset, how bill gates allows these people to make such -Yoink- is weird as fans could have done a better job without wanting to be paid for it lol

Anyway, regarding matchmaking, I think 343 essentially did away with most of the limitations on MM searches (except for region by the sound of NZ / AU folks) in order to help people get into games the last few months, so that means games against players of vastly different skill levels. Also of course none of the playlists except one are even ranked. I think the game is at the point now they should start adding ranks and restricting MM based on skill.
Play Big Team as it’s more relaxed and less about stick skills than Team Slayer. Also try out Rumble… You won’t come close to winning but you’ll learn and get better without worrying about being a liability to your team.
matchmaking is much better than in recent months why do you think after the patch hit Halo jumped into the top 10 of most played games on Xbox live since then another update is coming next month its a step in the right direction by doing the updates monthly now instead of weekly
My advice is to play with friends if you can parties work now.
I got frustrated playing big team battle with horrible teammates, but now since parties work,
I usually go in with a party of 4 or more. Helps a lot 
The worst part is the betraying, quitting, and awful straight-line warriors that always get stuck on your team. I’m to the point where I don’t even want to play anymore.
Thanks for the responses guys, I’m glad I’m not alone when it comes to this issue. If anyone would like to play halo with me sometime that would be great cause I have no friends with an xbox one, just add me (Green Zoot) and we can play some games together, hopefully that makes the games a bit more fun

Don’t give up. Im not a noob, but im no ware near a Pro either. But since this last patch something has happened and I don’t know what it is.most games I can play normal and then it seems I get into a spurt of games where it starts out 15 to 1 in 2 min. You can through all you got at em and they wont die. I think something is still wrong with the game. And don’t let anyone tell you its your internet connection.
im just average skilled player, and i find H2A playlist a grind, its boring, repetitive and feels like a grenade festival. once ive stopped playing that playlist i can honestly say im enjoying halo multiplayer alot more, got the same feeling i had years ago with it. avoid H2A if you want balanced matches, fun gameplay on a huge variety of maps and gametypes. H2A is the same -Yoink- over and over again
I couldn’t agree more. I think one solution is to create a playlist that has a maximum skill cap so that all the casual players and noobs can have fun. Me included.
Of of course that would require ranking…
