Matchmaking absolutely sucks. I just played 8 games and lost 7 of them. Anyone else having this kind experience? This is just tonight. I’ve gone from a gold 6 to a gold 2 in a matter of 3 days.
I just checked your game history, playing ranked on Slayer. I don’t think its the matchmaking, if your solo-queing Slayer you can’t expect to win and come out on top. It also depends on your own performance. And if your not solo-queing and playing with a team communicating and such maybe you guys just didn’t do well on those matches…

I don’t have a team or anything, I just play with whoever I’m paired with. Been thinking about getting a headset to talk with others. Can I still hear my other teammates even if I don’t have a headset?

Yeah you should be able to hear them, just make sure mute all is off.
There are really no safe “solo” playlists. I’ve lost quite a few games because I go in solo and have teammates that aren’t as good at playing. It happens. So it’s really not a matchmaking issue… More of a “you’re solo que’ing” issue.
Don’t get me wrong though, matchmaking sure does have it’s issues… But you losing 7 out of the 8, isn’t because the game play issues within matchmaking.
As of 9:40 pm est 2/21/18 the first page of your arena game history shows ten games where you experienced only one loss. So clearly the game has given something back to you, but I doubt that you took away the lesson that Halo matchmaking isn’t trying to provide you with a 50/50 win/loss. It never was. It’s trying to provide matches where the chances of success are roughly equal to the chances of failure. It seems that, on average, it’s doing exactly that. Despite the low population, and despite the solo searching. Go Halo?
2019 and i guess the search algorythm is “innaccurate” or there’s pretty low quantity of players at my skill. So many times I search being platinum 5 or 6 playing against onix players on the other team and my team is my rank. WTF is the logic there?
For me, the matchmaking algorythm is a joke. And yeah, I solo play everythime bc none of my xblive friends play halo 5 or none of them have level below mine.
It happens man. I hover +50/-50 CSR quite often! I’m at a 48% win in 90% solo Q Slayer and still managed to hit 2000 CSR! You WILL get to where you belong. Remember guys, it’s a ranking system, not progression. You are never intended to climb the ranks; just to be placed accordingly. You are generally whatever the system places you at and where you settle. No excuses.
