My two friends and I have been doing a decent amount of 3s and two of us are onyx and the other is diamond. Every single ranked game we play we get queued into plats/golds/silvers and just win in under 10 mins and the game basically puts us all to sleep. I don’t know if its an issue of lack of players at our skill rating but queues are generally 10-20 seconds and I feel like we’d be happy to wait a bit longer for a properly matchmade game. Its not fun for us and I seriously doubt its fun for the people we’re playing against either and we feel like something should be done yknow??
I see you’re playing X War. For whatever reason, 3v3 X War is home to players that choose not to build units. You’re going to continue to roll over people in that playlists. If you’re on XBox, I recommend switching to normal 3v3. If you’re on PC, well… I wish you the best.
The only time my games in XWar are remotely challenging are if I solo queue or get matched up a against a team of players that I know.
I see you were playing an hour ago, if you play outside of US times (roughly 4 onwards UK times on the weekend) then there’s generally few high level players on. You also played exclusively arby which is basically playing on easy mode, mix it up by playing random all against scrubs, or add some decent players who play when you’re online and play customs/ search them out)
We’re in Australia and on PC so we’re stuck with Xwar which of course limits playerbase to us :^). leader doesn’t really matter I’ve played plenty of Shipmaster, Colony and Yapyap, arbiter just been fun lately. Leader doesn’t really play a part when our opponents are at 10 pop cap 4 mins into the game as you mentioned. Playing solo is fine and can have some great games but with my friends its just a shame we can’t have any sort of challenge which makes the game pointless, no strategy just mindless T1 wins. Have had some really great games against skilled players but they are few and far between. It probably is just a lack of player base in the game mode, but all other non blitz playlists have no player base whatsoever in our region/platform.
Hopefully with the next update they will remove 3v3 non cross war so then everybody uses X-war.

Ah, man, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll find many good games playing X War. Like I said, I don’t know what it is, but no one likes making units in that playlist.
Feel free to add me, and we can set up some customs one day. Also, there are a few HW2 Discords out there, with plenty of players that would also be happy to play. Might me a better option than she’s rolling newer players.
