Matchmaking host question.

I’ve been told who pulls host in a game is based on their host record, does that mean if you play on your own host a lot in matchmaking it will increase your chance of pulling it more or what? How does it work?

I don’t think that is true. I think it makes the person host depending on the best connection.

Pretty much, if you’ve pulled host in the past and it went good, then you are likely to pull host again in the future. But if you’ve pulled host in the past and it was went bad, then you’re unlikely to get it again.

This is why people use the terms like ‘host box’ when they buy a new Xbox because it has a completely fresh host record.

Obviously you still need to have a good connection in order to pull host regardless.

Pretty much. Click the link for all the info on how it works for Halo.
