When I play matchmaking on MCC, my Xbox freezes, disconnects me, turns off, and when I get back I’m “banned” for exactly 1 minute. I don’t quit matches, I’m not that kind of player, everyone assumes these things so I’m putting out there now.
Why is my Xbox (one s) throwing a temper tantrum at matchmaking? It’s happened twice tonight and a lot in the last few weeks. Is this normal?

I wouldn’t call it normal. But I had a few disconnects this weekend so maybe there were some server issues… But I did do a hard reset and it seemed to helped.

It’s been happening since season 6 launched. This is the first time my Xbox has shut itself off while playing MCC and it was right at the start of H3 matches.
Reset MCC after changing armor or skins. Then when you open it again go straight to MM.

If you have the skins turned on turn them off and that seems to cure the issue. I haven’t had a freeze or shut down in H3 since turning them off. Kinda sucks but it’s better than the kicks.

It’s been happening to me on Steam with Reach matchmaking. The loading bar will fill half way then boot me out to the main menu, then give me a ban, almost 75% of the time.

I have heard that’s a good fix. For me, it happens at most once per play session. It doesn’t happen again after I start up MCC again. But, good to have a backup fix!

I would recommend going into console settings the one s has an option to toggle 4k, when the system itself doesn’t have the power to run it and it can make the console act funny and power down, I had to do that with my nephews xbox, if that doesn’t work I’m sure you won’t like the next recommendation and that would be a factory reset of the console, just be sure to have your email and password ready when you start up the console. As far as the bans they will only increase it is -Yoink- but if it wasn’t implemented the way it is people would literally disconnect their router or turn the console off to save their “stats” from a loss or negative k/d
