The matchmaking for January 2016 season is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Every freaking game I’ve gotten placed in, we either have somebody not play for half the game, rack up 0 - 12, and then leave. Or we have people who are 4 and 16… or just not on the same skill level as the rest of the other team or my own team for that matter. I shouldn’t get placed in gametypes with 3 unranked placement match individuals, and the other team have full placement ranks.
At one point over the last four days, I have gone 40 - 10 in terms of wins, and then yesterday and today, I’ve gone 1 - 12… That’s absolute horsesh*t. This has to change. I absolutely love Halo 5, and have been a halo fan ever since it came out. But the matchmaking is absolutely terrible this season, and I’ve talked with a LOT of my friends who agree.
And the matchmaking BAN system is absolute garbage as well. I am NOT going to stick around for a slaughtering of 40 - 10 kills. I’m not going to do it. Absolutely not. So you ban me for 8 hours because of it? That’s the dumbest thing. Keep alienating the playerbase because of your POOR matchmaking.
Sounds like we need to play together I believe in being your own Spartan, getting your own kills and not relaying on ur team… But there’s a thin line when it comes to players goin 4-16 one my team when I’m 25-9 and still losing, just absolutely ridiculous.
i do bad sometimes but not enough to have as many loses as I have
The servers have been extremely bad this month too, seems like there is an issue on a daily basis with people lagging or the servers crashing.
The ranking system is awful, it should be a balanced experience. It’s far from that, the placement system is a joke too.
How can I win 9-10 games, finish with a 17.9 KDA, and still be placed at Plat 4 on a new account?
Where is the logic with that?

DUDE its been like this for me for the past 3 days, i have been negative in almost all 4v4 games (out of 70 or so that i played). I am ranked onyx in slayer and always get a -Yoink- team on my side.
H5 matchmaking is ridiculous, i occasionally get matched against actual teams versus my team of random solo players
The end of last season was the best matchmaking ive had on h5, but 343s grand Idea is to scramble the ranks as soon as everyone plays enough yo settle into thier proper rank. after playing dozens of games over a month to rank, 343 thinks thier ten placement matches is more accurate than a month of play. Also the rash of unranked good and bag makes season starts unbearable. I guess 343 likes to let mlg guys play ranking matches with us casuals once a month to stomp on us.
I’m glad I’m not the only one on the forums who are super upset about it. Like I said, I’ve talked to my friends and they all say the same thing, “Last season was great, this one messed everything up.” and that’s what y’all seem to be agreeing with as well. If you have friends or people you play with on a regular basis who feel the same way, have them comment so this is brought up to 343, cause this is ridiculous.

I can’t even find games. I accidentally closed the “playlist update” window and I can’t get that download to start again, now it just sends me back to the lobby when searching for a game.
Im so happy to hear that im not the only one getting owned in a match by mlg players! I got halo 5 a week ago and its my first ever halo game, and during the first few days i played multiplayer and had a blast! But then january started and im getting stomped on so bad! I want to have fun but all i get is frustrated because i cant compete with these pro players. I really enjoyed playing at first but now its super unfair.

i agree that the servers have been reallllyyyy laggy but shouldn’t we all keep in mind that they are moving buildings. wouldn’t that be understandable if the whole company
is moving buildings? 
but maybe the servers are in another building so what im saying could probably have no relevance whatsoever
