I always enjoy custom games, but unfortunately I only have one friend that plays Halo, and he usually sticks with Objective/Slayer so I rarely get to play custom games (I’ve gotten into 2 or 3 in Reach).
Because of this, I’ve always wished there was some sort of matchmaking system for Customs. I get that there would be some difficulties in creating it (seach paramaters, players mislabelling gametypes, etc), but I’m sure there would be a way to make it work.
So, would you like to see a matchmaking system for Halo 5/6 (I’m assuming it’s too late for Halo 4), or do you think it’s not really worth the effort to implement?
Id say yes if 343i approved of the maps first. Otherwise no. Maps would be set up for one team to win and that would get annoying.
It would be hard to implement but definitely if it was done right. I love how Halo PC does it.

Agreed, custom games shouldn’t have any bearing on stats, it should purely be for fun.
Should we do some petition for it? In reach i had tones and tones of fun playing custom games.

I think it would be cool that when you start a game, there was an option like “Open to public” or something, then it would work like Diablo or WOW. You could join their game while searching in a “Custom Games” playlist.
