I need to be able to quickly express myself to my team mates. The most famous example I can think of in another game is Rocket League “Great Pass” Nice Shot" etc… I really think halo matchmaking would benefit a lot if I could make the following statements quickly from a little menu.
Left Side!
Right Side!
Behind!
Remember To Stick Together!
Stick together!
Seriously Stick Together!
Stop Rushing!
PLEASE Stop Rushing!
We are in the lead, wtf are you rushing for?
Stop -Yoinking!- rushing, hold this position and support your team! You are not Master Chief from the books!
Another thing that may be useful is the ability to place a marker on screen for your team mates, like we have in Portal 2 Co-Op or PUBG. Console gamers may not understand the need for any or all of this stuff but it’svery common for PC players to not have a mic.
The last 4 are particularly useful
I agree, a quick chat feature would be welcome. Seems like not many people are in game chat anymore, or at least they don’t talk. A quick chat message is a good way to communicate with all your teammates while still allowing players to stay away from voice chat and hate mail.
I think this would be increasingly useful in places such as Warzone. Warzone is so team-based in regards to succession that you need that team-communication. If you don’t have it then you’re pretty much dumbfounded right from the first few minutes as they have level 5 reqs while your team is still trying to get to level 3 requisitions. It would be nice if there was a quick chat especially with the D-Pad. Similar to how COD now has the “ping” system.
Yeah maybe it’s just a modern day thing but people definitely dont talk nearly as much, I remember back in the OG Xbox and 360 days everyone seemed to have mics. In social games a quick chat would get spammed a lot, but in competitive it would really help against the sweaty teams who are clearly communicating. If Halo Infinite could not have emoticons and instead have text or voice based taunts that’d be a hallelujah moment.
