This is a guesswork as my experience with Halo5 or even any Halo is bare none, but I see a lot of players dispute on Waypoint over what protagonist maneuvers should be allowed in online matches, claiming certain things by default to be withdrawn or introduced in a fixed manner. There is a game entitled Aliens versus Predator Classic. If you have an account on STEAM, you can check it out, it is a legitimate retro [1999~2001], available for like 5€. Now, why do I mention that? The game is mentioned because it has a beautiful multiplayer setup, allowing for wide range of customization in matchmaking. Actually, it may even contain too much, but the case is, what do you think should be manually switchable in an imaginary future Halo multiplayer installment? For example, do you think each weapon needs a separate option allowing to enable or disable it? Running, zooming, grenades, melee, thruster pack, collectable items, we go down to deciding upon fundamental features like this. After introducing all the changes, the pattern can be then saved and loaded up from a list containing even multiple of such. Each setup pattern could be applied to any map.
Instead of arguing about what should be pushed instead of what on part of developers, simply ask yourself what do you think needs to be changeable manually on the level of matchmaking, as not to bring in too many confusing options.
