Halo 5 Beta, it’s was amazing! Picked up a controller, had a blast. Up until I reached Onyx II, I was mashed up with players who are passed Semi-Pro, and I’m stuck with teammates who don’t even know how to aim, or have a rank.
My rank has been going lower ever since, now I’m at the tip of Onyx I. My k/d went down from 1.6 to a 0.8(now great but it’s something) almost every game I had with onyx II I have lost.
They are matching me up with players that haven’t even gotten a rank yet, while other team is stacked.
I can’t even have a relaxing game of 4v4 without one AFK or running around for the SMG. 24 games total in a row out of 30 I have lost due to that problem.
It takes about 30-40 games before it starts matching you even better. I have over 50 games now and last night the last 10 games I played were matched VERY well. Every single player was around the same ranked symbol as me. 
Yeah it’s very dodgy. I remember in one match we lost 32 to 50, and I had scored 28. Two of my team didn’t get any kills whatsoever. Very irritating, but shrug it’s a Beta.

Takes time. This is only the 3rd day of the full beta. After EVERY player has played around 30-40 matches, it will start matching better for everyone. I have played over 50 matches and it is doing VERY well now. The last 10 games I played I was matched with players of very similar symbols and skill level. In fact the last game I played last night ended with my team winning 50/49. Very intense close match.
i agree it seems to get better the more you play not perfect yet but better
