I usually play nothing but warzone. But i can’t play warzone all day, simply because i’m from europe, whilst the rest of my company is from the us. Most of them at least.
So i started playing FFA because i don’t need a team for that. I started yesterday as an unranked player. I’ve played 7 matches since then. 4 of them (my last 4 matches) against mostly champions.
Now, as i said, i am unranked. Why in the world does the game keep putting an absolute FFA noob (which i obviously am) against Champions all the time? I mean i was able to hold myself somewhat, but honestly. I’ve won 1 of these 4 champion lobbies, which is suprisingly enough. So i didn’t get absolutly annihalated, m but still.
How is this a working system in your eyes 343? Someone tries to get ranked and gets put against Champs all day. How is that compeptitive for me, and how is that compeptitive for them at all?
I’ve played against one of them twice. I encountered him when he was rank 15 (!!!), some time later he was put in my match again and ranked up to 11. How can he rank up that much playing against a freaking unranked noob like me?! How’s that make ANY sense?! He should be playing against at least other champs for the system to work.
Fix your system 343, or get a bigger player population so that the possibility of playing against other unraked players (like it should be) at least exists.

A lot of times if I play early in the morning the only people I get matched up against are Onyx and I’m only a Platinum in FFA. I think it may be that they’re the only people playing at the time because if I go back on later in the day it’s people of equal skill.

Yeah, that’s my theory as well. But like i said, we need a bigger player population to have fair matches. That rank 11 i was talking about could get on very early on pupose to simply feed off of noobs like me and rank up like that.
I see this crap all the time. I frequently get thrown into matches with upper level Golds and Platinums. I should never even SEE these people, let alone PLAY against them.
I hardly ever play in a close match regardless of the ranks. The whole point of a ranking system is to pin you up against people of a similar skill level. It’s either destroy or be destroyed. I have like 1 of 20 games that are close matches.
Could care less about the ranks, but at least halo 2-3-reach had close games.
The system is also broken for warzone… there shouldn’t even be a skill matching in a social playlist. 343 thinks we wont know what it is but I got plenty of screenshots to prove it… All they do is take 3-4 really good players and then throw them with 8-9 terrible players on one team, and then the entire other team is just every skill in between. Just look at the end results of a warzone game and you will see it.

That’s very likely. I have noticed that certain times of the day, have different skill sets playing. You will either play with what is available, or wait, wait, wait, until there is enough people at your skill level. In the update there will be a way to “set preferences” for matchmaking. Not sure what that means, but I am hoping that it will allow people that don’t want to play against higher skill levels opt out.
