Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else is suddenly having issues trying to find matches? Specifically, I cannot find a single ranked match at all, with Quick Play even taking several minutes to find a match.
Anyone?
I find a match in a certain playlist, play a game then BAM cant find another game…its the weirdest thing
I find fastest search times are during peak hours, maybe 8pm-2am EST, other than that it seems only the most popular playlists have any players at all(heroic warzone ff, quickplay, whatever is double XP)
Lol I decided to play for the first time in nearly 2 years and cannot find a match in anything. Is the game really that dead or is something wrong?
It’s mostly due to low population & it’s mostly easier to find players at certain time zones
343i recently made some under-the-hood tweaks to address this.
If you haven’t already, switch your search preference to “Expanded” as this will aid in finding games quicker.
According to the dev team it should take no longer than 3 minutes to find a game this way, if you are still experiencing connection issues try these steps in order:
Hard Reset the console
Sign out and back into XBL
Start Halo 5 and attempt matchmaking
If it still fails please reach out to 343i support in the support section of Waypoint.

The problem with “expanded” is the connections. Maybe its just me but 75% of the games I try to play when I search that way are horrible. The inconsistency of connections drives me 
I am also having the same issues. I did a hard restart of the console, signed out and back into Xbox live and switched to expanded. After a while I got a message saying “Attention There was an unexpected issue with the playlist. Please try again.”

Something IS wrong. They fixed it a few weeks ago, now it’s back again.
I always find games in common playlists, elimination and quick play usually the slowest.
Played yesterday (Europe) and everything was fine.

Maybe they will roll out with another fix? Who knows!
I always play on expanded and the matching times usually take around 5 minutes for every playlist (ranked, social, wz) and once i finally find a match the game kicks me out half the time.

There are some mistake on matchmaking from the Day one
Lag issues, game Frozen during load of map, and on some playlist the game tell to me there aren’t any player…

Same. Just times out regardless of game type being searched.

Yesteday worked fine for me but today I’ve been searching for an hour in quickplay and only found 2 games.
