As of now, the matchmaking system pairs full teams against random players. This makes the ranked system completely irrelevant unless fixed.
Pregrouped teams have always had an advantage in Halo matchmaking. This is no different.

That’s because its not released so there only are a couple thousand people online at a time.
I’m pretty sure they confirmed that arena will have fair team at launch.
They said matchmaking will not be restricted in anyway to make matchmaking as fast as possible. It just makes an incentive to group up with friends and play. Even so, people have mics for a reason… If you’re one of those people that play alone and doesn’t use their mic. That’s on you.
If you’re alone, just pick up your mic and try and get some teamwork done. Don’t just let the other team have the advantage

The game isn’t out yet and there is only one playlist. They probably aren’t matching people properly right now, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to get matches. 343 has already said matchmaking will match you against equal parties if it can.
The unfairness is an illusion as my friends and me usually match up against tougher opponents then us.
