Here is my idea, the Xbox One is nearly here so old xbox games have nearly hit their lifetime expectancy so what 343 and Microsoft should do is update all of halo reach’s playlist to just 4 ranked playlists utilizing the arena ranking system titled updated. Team Slayer 4v4. Big team battle 8v8. Team doubles 2v2. Action sack 4v4 consisting of griff ball, living dead etc. And make all the dlc free to play. I understand by having everything ranked its gonna be scary but this will work in the long term so everybody gets placed and have the seasons last 1 month but starting you in the same division before. Having onky 4 playlist will make them more populated giving better skill match ups and more fun and free dlc will attract more players. What do you all think?
No thanks. I prefer a choice of what game type I want to play. Condensing them down to only 4 playlists restricts whether or not I can play specific game types at different times. For example, some peopel prefer to play SWAT, and putting this into a 4v4 playlist featuring other 4v4 game types means that they wont guarantee to play the game type they want.
And some people like me don’t like the TU settings, so removing our option alienates us and removes how we like to play. It would be better to just leave the game as it is now, with its variety.
The free DLC is a good idea, but it wont happen. Most of Halo 3’s DLC is still not free and the game is 6 years old. Only the Heroic map pack is free but that was done because there was no achievements tied to it (Microsoft’s policy at the time was that DLC could be made free if it didn’t include new achievements) and the Cold Storage map was free anyway. All Halo Reach’s DLC add achievements, therefore under the policy cannot be free.
Besides, 343 barely even touches Reach since Halo 4 came out, so what you propose will more than likely never happen anyway.
